This Week At CSBC February 9-15

Still Rejoicing Over Last Week

We are so thankful to see God working in our midst. In particular, we were thrilled to see two young people come to know Christ as Savior on Football Sunday. It was a joy to visit with the many guests the Lord sent our way. And we want to be sure and say a big “Thank you!” to our staff, to Dee Taylor in the kitchen and to all who brought food or otherwise volunteered to make Football Sunday a great day at Cherry Street Baptist Church.

In Two Weeks—Conference on Culture, Citizenship & Christianity

What is a Christian supposed to do? How are we to respond? Our country is divided. Our culture is increasingly antagonistic to biblical Christianity. Christians are often confused about what the Bible teaches about how citizenship and faith impact one another. Make it a priority for you and your family to come and be equipped from God’s Word. Make plans now to be a part of our Conference on Culture, Citizenship & Christianity. Our guest speaker for the conference is Glenn Clary of Anchorage Baptist Temple, Anchorage, Alaska.  The conference begins on Sunday, February 23, and continues Monday-Wednesday evenings at 6:30.

Conference Dinners Available

In order to help you make the conference each evening, we will be serving dinner Monday through Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 6:15. Monday night is Chick-Fil-A sandwich night. It will be followed by Taco Tuesday. On Wednesday evening we will enjoy a delicious chicken dinner. Cost for the dinners is $4 per person per night.

Business Meeting & Election Of Officers On Wednesday

Our annual business meeting and election of church officers will take place this Wednesday, February 12.  We will be celebrating the good hand of God upon our church and our ministry!

Welcome Home Project Reaches New Families

Pick up a “Welcome Home” packet to deliver to families who have relocated to Springfield. We have already seen people come to know Christ and added to our church family whose first touch from CSBC was through “Welcome Home.” If you would like to help, see Pastor Jason Lange in the lobby after the services.

Ladies’ Retreat Coming March 6-7

“A Beautiful Ride” is the theme of this year’s Ladies’ Retreat, coming March 6-7. After outgrowing our previous venue, this year’s retreat will be held at the Camden Hotel & Conference Center in Branson.  Information and registration are available in the lobby. Invite a friend to come with you!
