As you know, two of the major components of AWANA are a devotional time and handbook time at the tables. Since we are unable to meet directly for some time, we want to provide some guidance and resources to facilitate doing this at home. We will be allowing parents to sign off on sections during this period. The Awana handbooks are amazing resources for devotionals and scripture memorization!
Each section in your child’s book has a devotional with questions you can do with them, as well as some verses for them to memorize. Once your child has been able to complete the requirements at the end of the section, you may sign off on it. Please note that we allow two “helps” for the verses, which can be giving them the next word if they are having trouble. Once you have signed off on their section, we have provided a form at mycsbc.com that you can fill out to let us know what sections they have done. The form will enable Awana leadership to keep track of what sections are being said.
Awana also has some great resources for devotionals online as well, including videos. I would encourage you to browse these and see if any might be useful for your family!
Follow the links below to access the resources. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or Nolan LeTourneau. We will be praying for you all, and look forward to gathering together again as the Lord allows!
