Digital Bulletin 9-19-2021

Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, September 19, 2021

Welcome to CSBC! Today we continue our annual focus on worldwide missions – our Biblical responsibility to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those around the world who are lost and without hope! It is our prayer that the Holy Spirit will speak to our hearts through God’s Word. If you are a regular part of our church family, we want you to know that we are thankful for you. If this is your first time visiting us online, we want you to feel a warm welcome. Either way, we have prayed that God will bless your life through the services today!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Missions 9:37 Today Through Wednesday

Our conference theme is taken from Jesus’ words, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few,” (Matthew 9:37). Youth and adults will hear from missionaries in Sunday School today and in each of our services, today through Wednesday night. Pastor Paul Monroe from Columbia, South Carolina is our speaker this week. We are delighted to have Pastor Monroe and his sweet wife, Dianne back at CSBC!

Welcome Our Conference Missionaries

We are delighted to welcome the following missionaries to our conference today: Chris & Miranda Shirrell – Japan; Steven & Laura Pratt – Alberta, Canada; and Shaun & Christin Evans – Sierra Leone. Arriving tomorrow will be a lady missionary to a restricted access nation (name withheld for safety). Then next Sunday we will welcome another couple to a restricted access nation, as well as new missionaries sent from CSBC, Jon & Olivia Solomon.

Conference Dinners Monday-Wednesday, Sept. 20-22

We are providing catered meals on Monday (sub sandwiches), Tuesday (Chick-fil-a sandwiches), and Wednesday evening (pasta) from 5:30-6:15 in order to help you make it to the services. Meal tickets are $5 a person. Family groups (of the same household) of two or more will receive a 25% discount. No family will pay more than $50. Register online at mycsbc.com, on the Realm Connect app, by texting “dinner” to 417.889.1999, or in the lobby after the services.

Two More Missions Sundays Ahead

Next Sunday, September 26, will be Faith Promise Sunday, followed on October 3 by Project 938 Sunday, a coordinated prayer emphasis with churches and Christians around the world. We will take part in this united day of prayer based on Jesus’ instruction in Matthew 9:38, “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

Faith@Home Resource Center

Our Faith@Home Resource Center in the north lobby provides free, one step at a time tools for growing and grounding the faith of every person in every season of life, as well as additional resources for you and your family. The F@H Center is open before and after all services.

Wednesday Next Steps Class Registrations

Registration is open for the First Step (foundations of the Christian Life) and Second Step (foundations of Christian Service) classes that will start again on Wednesday, October 13. Our Next Step Class will continue with a study entitled “Walking in Confidence.” You can register for your Next Step class by texting “next” to 417.889.1999 or at mycsbc.com/next-steps.
