Digital Bulletin 11-14-2021

Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, November 14, 2021

We are so thankful you have chosen to worship the Lord Jesus Christ today. Jesus said, “And I, If I be lifted up… will draw all men unto me,” (John 12:32). Jesus was lifted up on a cross to pay for our sins and rose again from the dead so that we can be lifted up to heaven if we trust Him as our Savior. If you are a regular part of our church family, we are thankful for you. If you are visiting our website for the first time, we want you to let us know you are here. Please fill out our digital guest card. We have asked God to do something wonderful in your heart today!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Honoring Veterans

This past Thursday was Veterans Day. Today we want to honor all those who have served our country in the armed forces. In a Veterans Day radio address in 1983, President Ronald Reagan said, “Veterans know better than anyone else the price of freedom, for they’ve suffered the scars of war. We can offer them no better tribute than to protect what they have won for us.” Today we want to show our love and appreciation to those who served to preserve the freedoms we all enjoy.

Friends & Family Day – Next Sunday

Now is the time to make your final invitations for Friends & Family Day at CSBC. We are asking you to have a friend and/or family member that doesn’t normally attend CSBC to be your guest for the morning services and then join you for the Thanksgiving dinner afterward. Our musical guests, Soul’d Out, will be singing in the 10:30 worship service and then in a brief concert following the meal. We are asking every family to bring a dessert and drop it off in the Gillming Center before the service. Do your part to make this an amazing Sunday on Friends & Family Day!

Sign Up for 24 Hours of Prayer – Starts This Evening

We have just a few slots open to fill out our 24 hour prayer relay that will begin at the close of the service this evening. Let’s unite together as a church family in praying for the blessing and involvement of the Lord on Friends & Family Day. Please take a moment and choose one of the remaining 15 minute prayer slots and turn in your prayer requests in the lobby or you can text 24 to 417.889.1999 and receive a link to submit a request for those you have already or will be inviting to join you this week. The prayer relay will end with a 15 minute prayer rally in the Gillming Center on Monday evening at 6:30 just prior to GROW Outreach.

Wednesday Next Steps

There is a place for everyone to learn and grow on Wednesday evenings at CSBC. There is a First Step Class (foundations of the Christian Life), a Second Step Class (foundations of Christian Service) and a Next Step Class with a study entitled “Walking in Confidence.” Take the “Next Step” in your Christian life this Wednesday evening at 6:30.

Thanksgiving Week Service Schedule Changes

There will be no evening service next Sunday on Friends & Family Day. In addition, we will not have Next Step Classes the night before Thanksgiving Day. During that week, we will be moving our midweek service to the Auditorium on Tuesday evening, November 23 at 6:30 p.m.
