Digital Bulletin 12-5-2021
Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, December 5, 2021

Although Hallmark has been showing Christmas movies and the advertising world has shown us Christmas-themed commercials since October, the three weeks ahead of us are often referred to as the “Christmas Season.” It’s during this time that our Cherry Street family takes time to remember what Christmas is all about: Jesus came into the world as a baby in Bethlehem to die on the cross for our sins! If you are visiting our website for the first time, we want you to let us know you are here. Please fill out our digital guest card. If you are a regular part of this church family, we are glad you are here too!

Christmas at CSBC All Month Long

Christmas is truly all about Jesus. Enjoy Christmas music in all our services all month long – including our kids choirs and our wonderful CSBC choir and musicians. This all culminates on Christmas Eve as we begin our family Christmas celebrations focused on the true meaning of Christmas with our annual Christmas Eve service. Christmas at CSBC begins today!
Christmas Musical Next Sunday

Next Sunday morning, Micah Young and our music and media ministries will present the musical, “Christmas Changes Everything.” Pick up a pack of four invitations to use to invite four families who are unsaved or unchurched to come for the musical. It could make an eternal difference in their lives!
Christmas Sunday December 19

The Sunday before Christmas is filled with great music and singing, all pointing us to the baby born in Bethlehem who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We will center our hearts and minds on the true meaning for the last few days in the run up to Christmas day. Then on Sunday evening, expect the unexpected! The 6 p.m. Family service is filled with music, skits and laughter! It’s sort of an “exhale” from the busyness of the holiday rush. Our special guests will be the Allen family. There will be a wheelbarrow full of candy for the kids!
Children’s Christmas Party at Incredible Pizza

This year’s children’s Christmas Party will be held on Friday, December 17 at Incredible Pizza for Preschool and Elementary. The $6 cost gets your children their buffet and a $5 game card! The kids will have a great time! Text: Pizza To: 417.889.1999 to register and pay. Or click here.
Birthday Gift For Jesus Offering

This year’s Christmas offering will be used for two very important projects. First, we will be remodeling the Preschool Sunday School and Junior church classrooms on the west end of the nursery hallway. We are excited to get these classes updated for our children’s ministries. The other need is for the roof of the north hallway, from the Four Corners area north to the Fellowship Hall. Cost of these renovations are estimated at $71,000. The good news is that we already have in hand $35,000 through your faithful giving and good stewardship. This leaves us only $36,000 needed for our Christmas offering to complete these projects! We are asking everyone to get involved to help us get these two important projects completed. Please pray about what the Lord will have you to do. You can give a lump sum or spread your gifts over the next three months.
