Digital Bulletin 12-12-2021

Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, December 12, 2021

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church!  Our church exists to share with everyone the good news of the Gospel – that Jesus Christ, God the Son, came to this earth as a baby through a miraculous virgin birth, lived a sinless life, died a vicarious death on a cruel cross for our sins, then rose again three days later. Our mission is to reach, teach and minister and our vision is to continue to see lives changed by this glorious Gospel message! If you are visiting our website for the first time, we want you to let us know you are here. Please fill out our digital guest card. If you are a regular part of this church family, we are glad you are here too!

Christmas Musical “Christmas Changes Everything”

Today Micah Young and our Cherry Street Baptist Church Celebration Choir will present “Christmas Changes Everything.” Our prayer is that you will be reminded of the great love of God for you as we celebrate the wondrous birth of Jesus Christ. We are so thankful for the work of our music ministry. Please let them know how much you appreciate them today.

Next Sunday is Christmas Sunday

The Sunday before Christmas, December 19, will be filled with great music and singing, all pointing us to the baby born in Bethlehem who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We will center our hearts and minds of the true meaning for the last few days in the run up to Christmas day.

Christmas Spectacular Next Sunday Evening

Next Sunday evening expect the unexpected! The Christmas Spectacular during the Family Service will be filled with music, skits and laughter! Our special guests will be the Allen family. There will even be a wheelbarrow full of candy for the kids. We promise you that you will see things you’ve never seen before. Don’t miss this great time when we come aside to sing, laugh and enjoy some fun at Christmas time.

Christmas Week At CSBC

There will be a couple of special events during Christmas week that will impact our regular weekly schedule. There will be no GROW outreach on Monday evening, December 20. Our Wednesday evening service will move to Christmas Eve.

Birthday Gift For Jesus Offering

This year’s Christmas offering will be used for two important projects. First, we’ll be remodeling the Preschool Sunday School and Junior church classrooms on the west end of the nursery hallway. We are excited to get these classes updated for our children’s ministries. The other need is for the roof of the north hallway, from the Four Corners area north to the Fellowship Hall. Cost of these renovations are estimated at $71,000. So far we’ve had $35,220 to come in for our Christmas offering to complete these projects! Please pray about what the Lord will have you to do. You can give a lump sum or spread your gifts over the next three months.

Children’s Christmas Party at Incredible Pizza

This year’s children’s Christmas Party will be this Friday, December 17 at Incredible Pizza for Preschool and Elementary. The $6 cost gets your children their buffet and a $5 game card! Text “pizza” to 417-889-1999 to register. The kids will have a great time! Or click here.

What’s Your Next Step?

There is a place for everyone to learn and grow on Wednesday evenings at CSBC. There is a First Step Class (foundations of the Christian Life), a Second Step Class (foundations of Christian Service) and a Next Step Class with a study entitled “Irrefutable.” Take the “Next Step” of growth in your Christian life in a Next Step class.
