Digital Bulletin 12-19-2021
Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, December 19, 2021

Like Simeon and Anna in the temple expectantly waiting for the birth of the Christ Child, we come on this Sunday before Christmas expecting Him to meet with us today. If you are already a part of God’s forever family, I trust you came today to study His Word, hear His voice and respond to Him in obedience and worship. If you came today as one who is seeking, you are among friends! We are glad you are here, and we want you to know that the Lord Jesus loves you! He desires to forgive you of your sins and make you one of His children today. That’s why Jesus, Immanuel (God with us) came to the earth. It was to save us! Now that makes it a very merry Christmas! If you are visiting our website for the first time, we want you to let us know you are here. Please fill out our digital guest card. If you are a regular part of this church family, we are glad you are here too!

Welcome To Christmas Sunday

Christmas Sunday at Cherry Street is all about celebrating the birth of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ together as a church family with our friends and guests. We welcome each of you to our services today! We are glad you have come to worship the Christ of Christmas!
Laugh & Relax! Christmas Spectacular Tonight

The Christmas season can be so busy and stressful. Our annual Christmas Spectacular is a time we set aside to laugh and enjoy ourselves! The time will be full of music, and fun for children and adults alike. The musical family, the Allens, will be part of the Spectacular this year. At the close, we have a wheelbarrow full of candy for the kids! Invite someone to join you for this wonderful evening.
Christmas Eve

It is a wonderful thing to begin your family’s Christmas celebration worshipping the Christ of Christmas in our Candlelight Service this Friday evening, Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. If possible, bring a self contained candle for your family to help adorn the platform. Experience the music and meaning of Christmas here at Cherry Street Baptist Church on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Post Office

Check out the Christmas Post Office in the north lobby. Pick up any cards that have been left for you and/or save on postage for your Christmas cards to someone in the church family. Cards dropped in the mailbox will be ready for pick-up by the next service.
Birthday Gift For Jesus Offering

This year’s Christmas offering will be used for two very important projects. First, we will be remodeling the Preschool Sunday School and Junior church classrooms on the west end of the nursery hallway. The other need is for the roof of the north hallway, from the Four Corners area north to the Fellowship Hall. Cost of these renovations are estimated at $71,000. As of last week we have $36,420 through your faithful giving and good stewardship. This leaves us only $34,580 needed for our Christmas offering to complete these projects! Please pray about what the Lord will have you to do. You can give a lump sum or spread your gifts over the next three months. Just add your gifts to your tithes and missions offerings, marking your gift amount as “Christmas.”
Read The Bible With Us

Once again this year, many teens, young adults, middle aged and senior adults have read through their Bibles together using our churchwide plan, and will finish this week. Once again we want to encourage you to join us beginning January 1, 2022. A printed copy of the “Discipleship Journal Reading Plan” is available in your Sunday School class or in the lobby. It is also available in the YouVersion app on your mobile device or online at Bible.com. There is a link to the reading plan on mycsbc.com as well.
