Digital Bulletin 12-26-2021

Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, December 26, 2021

Welcome to the last Sunday of 2021 at Cherry Street Baptist Church! It is fitting that we follow the celebration of the birth of Christ with the dawning of a new year, as He is the One who gives new life to those who know Him. Whether you are a guest or a regular attender, we welcome you to our services on this last Sunday of the year. If you are visiting our website for the first time, we want you to let us know you are here. Please fill out our digital guest card.

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Read The Bible With Us

If you started the Bible reading plan for 2021 on January 1 and followed it through, then you completed reading your entire Bible this past week. It has been wonderful to see so many in our church family join together to encourage one another to read the Bible through – from teens to senior adults! We want to encourage everyone to join us this year as we read God’s Word together in 2022. It is a great way to have your daily quiet time with the Lord! A printed copy of the “Discipleship Journal Reading Plan” is available in your Sunday School class or in the lobby. It is also available in the YouVersion app on your mobile device or online at Bible.com. There is a link to the reading plan on mycsbc.com as well.

Birthday Gift For Jesus Offering

This year’s Christmas offering will be used for two very important projects. First, we will be remodeling the Preschool Sunday School and Junior church classrooms on the west end of the nursery hallway. The other need is for the roof of the north hallway, from the Four Corners area north to the Fellowship Hall. Cost of these renovations are estimated at $71,000. As of last week we have $51,800 through your faithful giving and good stewardship. This leaves us only $19,200 needed for our Christmas offering to complete these projects! Please pray about what the Lord will have you to do. You can give a lump sum or spread your gifts over the next three months. Just add your gifts to your tithes and missions offerings, marking your gift amount as “Christmas.”

Christmas Post Office

Check out the Christmas Post Office in the north lobby. Pick up any cards that have been left for you and/or save on postage for your Christmas cards to someone in the church family. Cards dropped in the mailbox will be ready for pick-up by the next service.

Men’s Retreat Coming In February

On Friday, February 4 – Saturday, February 5, the men of our church will be heading to Friendship Baptist in Owasso, OK for a great time together at their annual Beast Feast & Life Skills Retreat. This is always a great time for our guys. Registration will begin next Sunday.

“Football Sunday” Coming 2.13.2022

“Football Sunday” coincides with the Super Bowl, and is an evangelistic opportunity for our church that points unapologetically toward Jesus. The media presentations display how God is working through some of the players in the big game, and using them to impact the lives of others. We will be providing invitations for you to use to invite your unchurched friends. Begin praying now for “Football Sunday 2022.”

Thank You For Your Faithful Giving

We want to encourage everyone to be faithful with their tithes and offerings.

You can give:

By using dropping your offering envelopes into the offering boxes in the back of the auditorium and on the walls in the lobby

Through the website at mycsbc.com

On the Realm Connect app

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Thank you so much for your faithfulness in giving to the Lord

Realm Connect – Our Church App
