Digital Bulletin 1-16-2022
Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, January 16, 2022

We are so glad you have chosen to worship with us today. If this is your first time to be with us, we want you to know we are glad you are here. We prayed for the Lord to send new friends our way today! If you are visiting our website for the first time, we want you to let us know you are here. Please fill out our digital guest card. Whether you are a guest or a regular attender, welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church!
-Pastor Dennis Jennings
God Is Still At Work

We have been watching the Lord do some incredible things once again in recent days. For instance, one dear lady in our church who has faithfully prayed for her husband for many years, saw God answer her prayers as he trusted Christ last week. Another mom, who was recently saved as a result of our bus ministry, saw the rest of her children saved, and they followed the Lord in baptism last Sunday! These are just a couple of the many times we have seen the Lord changing lives right here in our church in recent days. To Him belongs the glory!
Do What We Can

Here in Springfield we are seeing an uptick in the number of covid cases. We have seen some in our church family touched by the virus whose impact was mild, and others who had more severe symptoms. Let’s join together and do what we can. Here at church, we continue to use hospital grade disinfection in our buildings prior to every service. We encourage everyone to wash your hands regularly. And, by all means, if you are sick, watch the services online until you are better. Most importantly, take the time to pray for one another and for the health and safety of our community.
February Beast Feast Men’s Retreat Registration

On Friday, February 4 – Saturday, February 5, the men of our church will be heading to Friendship Baptist in Owasso, OK for a great time together at the annual Beast Feast & Life Skills Retreat. This is always a great time for our guys. Registration is available online at mycsbc.com/beast-feast, by texting Beast to 417.889.1999 or in the lobby.
Read The Bible Through In 2022

It’s not too late to start reading the Bible through in 2022. There are readings for 25 days per month, which gives lots of days for catching up if/when we fall behind. This is a great way to have your daily quiet time with the Lord! A printed copy of the “Discipleship Journal Reading Plan” is available in the lobby. It is also available in the YouVersion app on your mobile device or online at Bible.com. There is a link to the reading plan on mycsbc.com as well.
Birthday Gift For Jesus Offering Continues

This week we went above our goal for this year’s Christmas Offering, which is being used to remodel the Preschool Sunday School and Junior church classrooms and replace the roof of the north hallway to the Fellowship Hall. As of last week we have $72,470, over the $71,000 goal! If you still would like to give to the offering, there are additional projects we will be able to accomplish through any additional gifts. Just add those gifts to your tithes and missions offerings, marking your gift amount as “Christmas.” Thanks again to all those who participated in this special offering.
“Football Sunday” Coming 2.13.2022

“Football Sunday” coincides with the Super Bowl, and is an evangelistic opportunity for our church that points unapologetically toward Jesus. The media presentations display how God is working through some of the players in the big game, and using them to impact the lives of others. We will be providing invitations for you to use to invite your unchurched friends. Begin praying now for “Football Sunday 2022.”

Thank You For Your Faithful Giving

We want to encourage everyone to be faithful with their tithes and offerings.
You can give:
By using dropping your offering envelopes into the offering boxes in the back of the auditorium and on the walls in the lobby
Through the website at mycsbc.com
On the Realm Connect app
Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.
Thank you so much for your faithfulness in giving to the Lord
Realm Connect – Our Church App

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin. The Connect App also allows you to be faithful with your giving. Realm Connect allows us to do many things more efficiently and effectively, like managing events, group attendance and communications and so much more! If you don’t have the Realm Connect app, send an email to Info@mycsbc.com We will send a link to the Realm Connect app.
