Good afternoon,
We will not be having any of our regular services, ministries or livestream this evening, Wednesday, January 19. The Covid-19 infection rate in the area is high at this time. So high, in fact, that Springfield and a number of the surrounding school districts have canceled classes for the rest of the week. Since Sunday, the number of infections we have been made aware of in our own church family has risen significantly. A number of our church staff/staff families are dealing with infections also.
We are currently projecting a full schedule of services on Sunday. We will update you on Saturday or sooner if that changes.
Additional important information:
- Our hospital grade disinfection procedures are ongoing daily in our church facilities.
- Our ministry staff will primarily be working from home this week. Call the church and leave information during business hours with the attendant, or leave a voicemail. Pastors are on call for emergencies.
- Be responsible for your own health and that of your family. Wash your hands often. Mask and social distance as you deem necessary. For the sake of others, we encourage everyone who is sick to stay home and watch the livestream.
- Check on one another and pray for one another this week as you can to be an encouragement.
We thank you in advance for praying for and encouraging others. I am reminded of Paul’s words to the church at Corinth: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
