Welcome To CSBC On Sunday, June 19, 2022

Happy Father’s Day and welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church. We are blessed to have so many good and godly men as part of our church family. We have a special gift for each of the men this morning as a way to say “We thank the Lord for you today!” Whether today is your first time with us, or you are a regular part of this church family, we are thankful that you are here. God’s Word changes lives. It is our prayer that you let Him work in your life today. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you today!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Welcome Dr. Rick Carter

Today we are blessed to have Dr. Bruce Garner of Huntington Beach, California preaching for us . He is in the area to speak for the annual Baptist Bible Fellowship Missionary Reunion which is held annually in Branson. Take a moment to welcome and get acquainted with this great preacher today.

“Thank You, Thank You, Thank You”

We can’t say “thank you” enough to all those who stepped up to help in the different areas of ministry this week. We want to say thanks to those who went from our church each day to minister to missionary families and their children in Branson during the BBFI Missionary Reunion. We are grateful to all those who helped with the BBQ, the cooking, setup and cleanup. Then to those who came out for our workday on Thursday as well as the mowing team and the painters in the preschool classroom, we say a hearty “thank you” as well.

3rd-5th Grade Mini Camp, Friday, July 1

We were broken-hearted to have to cancel our kids camp last week. We are inviting all the kids who were going to camp, along with the other 3rd-5th graders to come for a Mini-Camp day on Friday, July 1. It will be an all-day event, with loads of fun, excursions and great Bible teaching. And….the Mini-Camp will be FREE! We will be sending out final details in the coming week.

Youth Camp Coming In Three Weeks

Youth Camp will take place July 11-15 for young people heading into 6th grade to those just graduating from high school. Cost for camp is $180. If you would like to provide a scholarship for teens to go to camp, just add it to your regular giving and note the amount for “Camp Scholarship.” For more information about youth camp, see Andy Young or Riley Berry.

Kid’s Wednesday Nights and Vacation Bible School

Our summer Wednesday night kids program called “Beati-dudes!” continues through the summer months. Preschool children up through 5th graders will enjoy loads of fun, games and Bible lessons from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, all built around a beach theme. Also, don’t forget to mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School coming July 25-29.

New Sessions For Next Step Classes

Starting this Wednesday evening, June 22, our two Foundations classes will start new sessions. The first step on our discipleship pathway is “Foundations for the Christian Life.” The second step on the pathway is “Foundations of Christian Service.” Start or strengthen your Christian walk in these classes.
