Join Us On Sunday, August 14, 2022

It is such a blessing to be able to worship together. God never intended for us to live our Christian lives in a vacuum. God’s plan for every believer is for us to be a part of a local body – a place to belong, and place to teach and be taught the Word of God, a place to encourage and be encouraged. We are told in the Scriptures to “rejoice with them that do rejoice and weep with them that weep.” We are also instructed to “provoke one another to love and good works.” If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

We Don’t Get Over It!

This week we saw at least two precious souls trust Christ as their Savior. Their eternity is forever changed! Heaven is their eternal home now! Praise the Lord for His mercy and grace. Week after week we see God’s power to change lives for eternity on display as we continue to be faithful to share the Gospel.

Awana and Awana Readers Begin Wednesday, August 17

Awana is a ministry that provides Bible-based evangelism and discipleship for children through 5th Grade. The goal of Awana is to “reach kids, equip leaders, and change the world” by making one disciple at a time. Awana meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 during the school year. Registration is available at www.mycsbc.com/kids. Awana is designed for kids to learn God’s Word, and it is a far more difficult challenge for those who cannot read. Awana Readers is a one-on-one “learn to read” program that will start with where the child is and help strengthen both their reading and comprehension. Awana Readers begins thirty minutes before Awana at 5:45. Afterward, the children move directly into Awana for the evening.

Back To School Sunday, August 28

Our children, youth, and young adults are heading back to their respective schools over the next couple of weeks. We will celebrate them and pray for them on a special “Back to School Sunday” on August 28. There will be a gift for those heading back to school this fall.

Teachers and Workers Meeting Next Sunday, August 21

Before the Family Service next Sunday evening at 4:53 pm, our Sunday School teachers and care group leaders will be meeting for a special time. We will be talking about some new tools available for our teachers, new opportunities and exciting plans for the fall. We are asking every teacher and care group leader to make this meeting a priority.

Christmas Is Coming

Ok, so it’s still more than four months away. This is the time of year that our choir begins rehearsals for the annual Christmas musical because they only have about 16 rehearsal weeks to learn a dozen or so new songs as they continue to minister to us each Sunday. Christmas choir rehearsals will begin in just a few weeks. Use the gifts that God has given you to sing for Him in our wonderful choir. Text “Choir” to the church phone number or contact Micah Young if you are interested in being a part of the choir. We thank the Lord for our faithful and hardworking choir members!
