“Living Water for a Thirsty World” Kicks Off Next Week

Our annual Missions Conference begins next Sunday and continues through Sunday, October 2! Our conference speaker will be Pastor Mike Frasier of Canton Baptist Temple, Canton, Ohio for the special services Sunday–Wednesday. We will have missionaries Russ & Lynn Turner (Costa Rica), Mike & Shaleena Quinlan (Greece), Andrew & Kelsey Perez (Philippines), and K & C L***S .

Conference Dinners, BBQ, & Other Events

Don’t miss any of the exciting events, like those listed below:

  • Sunday evening after church, college and youth ice cream and Q&A with missionaries.
  • Dinner will be served Monday through Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:15 to help everyone make it to the 6:30 pm services. You can even eat dinner with a missionary!
  • Tuesday morning at 10:30 the Prime Timers will hear from the missionary ladies.
  • Teens will enjoy a Friday Night Lights youth event.
  • Saturday’s Missions Barbecue will include BBQ and dessert competitions, and special music from the Farnum Family.

Evening meal and BBQ tickets are available in the lobby after the services, or online at mycsbc.com. You can also text “dinner” (for Monday-Wednesday evening meals) or “BBQ” (for the Saturday event) to 417.889.1999. As always, we want to make sure everyone can come, so if finances are an issue for the meals, please let one of the church staff members know and we will be glad to help.

September Is Sunday School Realignment Month

Our adult classes are made up of teachers and communities of people who love the Lord, encourage one another, and expect God to work in and through them each week. Whether you have never tried one of our adult classes or are thinking about trying another, we want you to know that September is a special month to make that happen!

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.
