Digital Bulletin 10-16-2022
Join Us On Sunday, October 16, 2022

I love Sundays! No matter the ups and downs of last week, Sunday, the first day of the new week, allows me to reset and refocus on my Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, my Savior! I agree with the Psalmist, who said in Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” Take a moment today to ask God to help you reset and refocus your life on Sunday, then join us as we worship Him – the One who gives us life both now, and for eternity! If you are a guest for the first time, take a look around our website and see the upcoming events and ministries we offer. We hope you choose to worship with us. It is our prayer that the music, teaching and preaching of God’s Word will encourage and impact your life! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Word 511 Sunday School Banquet Sunday Night

Instead of our Family Service tonight, make plans to join us tonight at 5:30 p.m. for our Fall Sunday School Banquet. We have so many exciting things to talk about and plans to share with you this evening. Every class will be challenged to get involved, ministering together to reach, teach and minister to those inside and outside their class over four Sundays. Join us for a delicious meal, great fellowship, a lot of fun, and a plan to make a difference in the weeks running up to Family Day on November 20!
Word 511 October 30 – November 20

Two weeks from today we will launch our fall Sunday School emphasis we are calling Word 511. Our focus is on the intentional, internal and external impact that God’s Word should have in each one of our lives. Determine to be a part and do your part to let the Word of God impact your life on these four special Sundays.
Church Prayer List Added To The Echo Prayer App

During our Missions Conference we rolled out our CSBC Missions Feed on the Echo Prayer App, available in your smartphone’s app store. This free app helps you keep track of your prayers, reminds you to pray throughout the day, and lets you share prayer requests with others. The Missions Feed has all our CSBC missionaries, their photos, and current missionary letters. This week, we added a feed for our church’s Wednesday prayer list. Under “Feeds” choose “Search for new feed” Enter “CSBC” and choose our weekly prayer list. You can find out more about the app at mycsbc.com/our-apps.
Should Christians Vote?

It is the biblical duty and responsibility of every Christian to vote and to vote for leaders who promote Christian principles. God is most certainly in control, but that does not mean we should do nothing to further His will. We are commanded to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:1-4). In terms of politics and leadership, there is evidence in Scripture that God has been displeased with our choices of leadership at times (Hosea 8:4). The evidence of sin’s grip on this world is everywhere. Much of the suffering on earth is because of godless leadership (Proverbs 28:12). Scripture gives Christians instructions to obey legitimate authority unless it contradicts the Lord’s commands (Acts 5:27-29; Romans 13:1-7). As born-again believers, we ought to strive to choose leaders who will be themselves led by our Creator (1 Samuel 12:13-25). Candidates or proposals that violate the Bible’s commands for life, family, marriage, or faith should never be supported (Proverbs 14:34). Christians should vote as led through prayer and study of both God’s Word and the realities of the choices on the ballot. (Source: gotquestions.org)
