Digital Bulletin 10-23-2022
Join Us On Sunday, October 23, 2022

We are thankful that we have been given another week to worship and praise Jesus our Savior and Lord. We are excited to proclaim His life-changing Word in singing, teaching and preaching on Sunday. If you are a guest for the first time, we want you to know we are glad you are on our website. We hope you will choose to worship with us on Sunday. It is our prayer that the music, teaching and preaching of God’s Word will encourage and impact your life! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

God Continues To Change Lives!

We are overwhelmed by the good hand of our God upon our church! In the last week, there have been at least four adults who trusted Christ as Savior, plus the blessing of seeing a young mom follow the Lord in believer’s baptism. The book of Acts says, “And the Lord added to the church,” and we are excited to see that process continuing regularly here at CSBC. We praise the Lord for His working in our midst!
Take the 511 Challenge October 30 – November 20

Next Sunday we will launch our fall Sunday School emphasis we are calling Word 511. Our focus is about making the Word of God practical in your life daily over three weeks. There are three challenges on the 511 highway:
- 5 – The Intentional Challenge: Read the Bible at least 5 days each week of the challenge. If you are using our church Bible Reading plan, great! If not, the challenge is to read at least one chapter from the Gospel of John each day. Better yet, up the challenge by committing to read all 21 chapters!
- 1 – The Internal Challenge: Memorize one verse each week with your family or a friend. “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee,” (Psalm 119:11).
- 1 – The External Challenge: Invest in and invite an unsaved or unchurched person to church during the campaign, especially on Family Day, November 20.
Family Day November 20

The Sunday before Thanksgiving is one of most exciting days of the year at CSBC. We will enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner in the Gillming Center. We want everyone to bring someone with them for this special day!
Prayer Changes Things

We are excited when we see God work. Prayer is part of the daily conversation between a Christian and the Lord. In our daily quiet time, we read the Bible to let God speak to us. Then when we pray, we are not to just recite some mantra. We are to share our hearts with the Lord. We express our worship, love and adoration to the Lord, share our burdens and requests with Him, according to His will and in Jesus’ name. In order to keep our church prayer list up to date, we recently added our church feed to the Echo Prayer App. Another change will begin in the next few weeks. We will be adding the date requested to the list, and we will keep any request on the list for three weeks, which will require an update/refresh of the request if the need persists. Thank you for helping us elevate the importance of prayer in our church! You can find out more about the app at mycsbc.com/our-apps.
Veterans Day November 13

Army Colonel Chip Fields has been our missionary chaplain in the US Army sent from CSBC and he recently retired. We are excited to bring Col. Fields back to CSBC to hear about his ministry and honor his service. This is a great opportunity to invite a veteran for this special day. We will have a gift for each vet present in the service.
