Join Us On Sunday, November 6, 2022

Welcome to mycsbc.com. You might notice the signs around our church about Word 511. Sunday is the second of a four Sunday journey emphasizing the impact of God’s Word in and through us intentionally, internally and externally. We want to extend an invitation to join us. We hope that you will choose to worship with us. It is our prayer that you will be encouraged, and your life will be changed! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

On The 511 Highway Today!

We continue our Word 511 journey today. Every Sunday School/Bible Study class has an attendance goal to meet. Last week it was exciting to see the International Friends and 1st Grade classes make their goals on the very first Sunday! Individually, our focus is about making the Word of God practical in each life daily over three weeks through three challenges. They are the Intentional Challenge: read the Bible at least 5 days each week using our church Bible Reading plan or at least one chapter from the Gospel of John each day; the Internal Challenge: Memorize 1 verse each week with your family or a friend; the External Challenge: invest in and invite at least 1 unsaved or unchurched person to church during the campaign, especially on Family Day, November 20.

Honoring Veterans Next Sunday

Colonel Chip Fields has been our missionary chaplain in the US Army sent from CSBC. A few weeks ago, he retired from active duty after more than 40 years of service. Next Sunday, November 13, we are excited to bring Colonel Fields back to CSBC to hear about his ministry and honor his service. This is a fantastic opportunity to invite a veteran to be a part of this special day. We will have a gift for each vet present in the service.

Family Day November 20

Family Day is one of most exciting days of the year at CSBC. The idea is for everyone to be in your place for Sunday School as part of our CSBC family and then to adopt an unsaved or unchurch family or individual to join your family for the special services and Thanksgiving dinner. We are asking you to make a difference by investing in and inviting someone to hear the Word and let God work in their life. When we all do what we can, we can expect God to do something great in our midst.

Vote: The Stewardship Of Your Citizenship

Christians should take a stewardship view of how to cast our votes on Tuesday. Every citizen has one vote. But the motivation must be different for Christians. We don’t vote simply because the government is set up that way. We vote because we have a responsibility before God of selecting representatives who will be most faithful in carrying out particular principles God has revealed in the Bible. Our highest responsibility is the stewardship of everything that has been given to us by God Himself. Act on the stewardship of your citizenship as you head to the polls to cast your vote on Tuesday.

Senior Men’s Class Relaunching November 27

We are excited to announce we are relaunching our Senior Men’s Sunday School Class on Sunday, November 27. Bob Sharp will be teaming up with Dan Moore to lead this class designed for men 55 and older. Along with the new leadership team they will be moving to Room 120, a classroom in the choir hallway.

Discovery Class Begins December 4

This class is an introduction to our CSBC family. This class is designed to clearly explain what our church is all about. We want you to catch a vision of what God intends to do through our church and how you can have a part in it!
