I'm Interested In:

Join Us On Sunday, December 4, 2022

Although Hallmark has been showing Christmas movies and the advertising world has shown us Christmas-themed commercials since October, the three weeks ahead of us are often referred to as the “Christmas Season.” It’s during this time that our Cherry Street family takes the time to remember what Christmas is all about: Jesus Christ came into the world as a baby in Bethlehem to die on the cross for our sins! Whether you are a first time guest or a regular part of our church family, we hope you choose to worship with us this Sunday! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Christmas is just three weeks from Sunday! The holiday season is a special time of year here at CSBC. We celebrate the incarnation of the Lord Jesus Christ through the month of December. We appreciate those who came out to decorate for the Christmas season! Thank you!

Children’s Christmas Musical

Next Sunday, December 11, in the Family Service at 6 p.m. we will celebrate the birth of Jesus with “Hotel Noel” as our children share with the world what Christmas is really all about! Don’t miss this delightful time, and bring a friend, too!

Christmas Celebration Sunday, December 18

Two weeks from Sunday is our Christmas Celebration Sunday. In the Morning Worship service, the choir will present “The Majesty of Christmas.” Sunday evening’s Family service will be our annual “Christmas Spectacular” filled with lots of music and laughter. We will also enjoy the antics of our special guest, our friend, Steve Harney of Cool Kids Ministries. The evening will conclude with a wheelbarrow full of candy for the kids.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

On Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24, at 6 p.m., get your family’s Christmas celebration started with a wonderful time of singing and Scripture reading of the Christmas story. Then on Christmas morning, we will have one unified Christmas Celebration service at 10:30. On the day we celebrate the birth of the Savior, make your plans now to worship the Christ of Christmas!

Want To Know More About CSBC

The Discovery Class is for you. During the 9:30 Bible Study hour today, Pastor Dennis begins a three-week class designed to clearly explain what Cherry Street Baptist Church is all about. The class will meet in the Staff Conference Room in the north hallway.

Christmas Offering For Kitchen Remodel and Driven Ministry

Your generous gifts for our Christmas Offering will help us give the Fellowship Hall Kitchen a total makeover. They will also provide a new bus for our Driven Ministry. Our goal for the Christmas offering is $40,000. You can add your Christmas offerings to your regular giving online at mycsbc.com, through the Connect app, or on your offering envelop by marking the amount as “Christmas.”

Helping Others At Christmas

With the economic downturn and the uptick of inflation, some are having a harder time making it this year. We want to help by providing a few gift boxes of food for families connected to our church who are in need. If you are able, drop off a bag of nonperishable food items in the box in the lobby. Thanks for your help.

Looking Ahead

  • Youth Christmas Party, December 9, 7:00 p.m.
  • Kids Christmas Musical Rehearsal, December 10, 1:00 p.m.
  • College Class Christmas Party, December 10, 6:30 p.m.
  • Kids Christmas Party, December 16, 6:30 p.m.
  • Christmas Spectacular, December 18, 6:00 p.m.
