Digital Bulletin 2-26-2023
Welcome to CSBC
We hope that you will choose to worship with us on Sunday. We believe God will speak to you through the music, teaching and preaching of His Word. Church family, let’s show our guests a warm Cherry Street welcome on Sunday! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Charting Our Course for Easter
Easter Sunday is just six weeks away and we are asking the Lord to do big things in us, with us and through us this year as we prepare to celebrate the hope of the resurrection of Christ. We are reintroducing our Welcome Home Project to help us reach new people moving into Springfield. We have planned a week-long prayer emphasis between Palm Sunday and Easter, including Ladies’ and Men’s prayer breakfasts on April 1 and 8 respectively. Of course, we will be hosting a community Easter Egg Hunt as well. Find your place in these ministry events and see how God can use you!
CSBC Outreach Coming March 13
For nearly 20 years, CSBC has experienced the blessing of a consistent GROW program. The acronym stands for God Rewards Our Work. Beginning Monday, March 13, GROW becomes CSBC Outreach, a new outreach ministry that will help us reach and minister to those in our community and in our church. It will include a new Phone Team and Writing Team along with a Visiting Team. We will kick off with weekly CSBC Outreach dinners each week through Easter. Thursday will be become Senior Thursdays, a time for our Senior Adults to come minister to other seniors. So many other exciting things to share. Start praying for and planning to take part of CSBC Outreach!
The Discovery Class Begins Next Sunday
The next session of the Discovery Class begins March 5. During the 9:30 Bible Study hour, Pastor Dennis will teach a three-week class designed to clearly explain what Cherry Street Baptist Church is all about. The Discovery Class meets in the Staff Conference Room on the north hallway.
Kitchen Remodel Continues
Ceiling and lighting has been installed as we continue the progress in the north kitchen. Thanks to all who gave and to those who are giving their time to help us get closer to completing the kitchen makeover!

This past Wednesday evening we elected the following people to serve as church officers. Deacons: Darrell Holt, Steve Hylton, Daniel McLaughlin, Jake Severs, Ed Wilson. Junior Deacon: Jesse Updegraff. Trustees: Derek Podurgiel, Bennie Schmachtenberger, Mitchell Stockton. Treasurer: Adam Pardue. Assistant Treasurer: Tom Updegraff. Church Clerk: Cindy Finney.
