Happy Father’s Day
We are so thankful for the godly men that God has given to us, men who love their Lord, their families and their church. Our church is blessed with a wonderful group of men who not only attend, but actively lead and serve in so many ministries of our church. Sunday we will honor the good men with whom God has blessed our church family.
Another Saved At Camp
We want to thank everyone who gave to help our elementary school kids go to camp this week. We also thank the Lord for those who went as leaders with the kids this week! We are thrilled to report that one of those children trusted Jesus as their Savior. It made an eternal difference!
Be A Part of CSBC Outreach
Each week we have teams that make visits, write cards and letters, drop off Welcome Home packets to new move-ins and make phone calls – all for the purpose of actively reaching and ministering to make a difference in the life of another person whom Jesus loves. On Monday evenings, all the teams are in full swing at 6:30, and we even provide a meal for those who want to come at 6:00. We have teams that minister to our seniors and others on Thursday at 10 am, and then Outreach happens again on Saturday morning at 10:00. There is a place for everyone to be a part of CSBC Outreach. Register each Sunday by texting “outreach” to the church number, 417.889.1999.
Prime Timers Trip
Our ministry to people 55 and older is called “Prime Timers, “ and they meet regularly for food fun and fellowship around the Word of God. This Friday they are going to Lebanon, Missouri for a time at the Heartland Antique Mall and lunch at Dowd’s Fish House. Meet in the west parking lot (by the outdoor playground) at 8:30 for a great time together. Will return by 2:30 p.m. Contact Bill Levergood for more information.
Next Steps and Financial Peace
NWe are seeing great growth and excitement in our Wednesday Next Steps this summer. The summer kids and youth programs are exciting. For Young Adults and others, there is Financial Peace University (contact Micah Young or Adam Pardue). Our Adult Bible study, currently taught by two young men who are living out the principles of a Bible Study called “Mentoring: Investing In Others.” Make your “Next Step” the right step by being a part of our Wednesday Bible studies.
Office Hours Changes
Please note that our church office hours are now 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, and 9-11:30 on Saturday mornings.
