Welcome to CSBC

On this first day of the second half of 2023, we want to welcome you to worship with us today. We are so thankful you have chosen to be here, and we want you to know that we have prayed for you. We have asked the Lord to speak to every person through the music, teaching and preaching of God’s Word today. If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Celebrate Freedom Next Sunday

Sunday marks the beginning of the week that we take time to remember the founding of our nation. The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, and the United States of America was born. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins then rose from the grave offering freedom from the eternal sin, death and hell! As you celebrate the freedom of our nation this week with your family and friends, don’t forget to take a moment to bow and thank God for the freedom we have in Christ!

16 Verses & Ice Cream Sundaes Tonight

We will continue our series “16 Verses That Tell the Whole Story of the Bible” in our Family Service on Sunday Night. Afterwards we will enjoy ice cream and fellowship after the Family Service. Bring your favorite toppings and let’s enjoy the sweet fellowship together!

Youth Camp

One week from Monday, July 10-14, our young people, grades 6-12, will be heading for youth camp. This is potentially the most important week of the year for them, spiritually speaking. To register for camp, contact Andy Young or call the church office. If you know of an unsaved or unchurched young person, we would love to take them to camp. We have scholarship money available to help them to go. Contact Andy as soon as possible and he will follow up.

Vacation Bible School

VBS Volunteers

One of the most exciting times of the year is Vacation Bible School week. VBS begins just four weeks from tomorrow, July 24 – 28. There are so many ways you can volunteer to help: decorations to cut out, crafts to prepare, and supplies to procure. There will be decoration nights and preparation days as well. We also need an army of volunteers to help during VBS. Contact Emma in the church office if you would like to help!

VBS Cookies

Our church family always does such an awesome job providing cookies for the kids at VBS. If you would be willing, would pick up a package or two of cookies the next time you go to the grocery and drop them off at the church office or in the box at the four corners. Thanks for your help!

VBS Canvassing This Thursday Evening

There will be no Outreach on Monday evening this week. We would like to invite everyone to come out at 6:30 on Thursday to help us canvass our “Jerusalem” neighborhoods around the church with VBS door hangers. You never know what kind of eternal difference you will make in someone’s life!

The church offices are closed Monday and Tuesday this week.

Looking Ahead

  • Tuesday, June 27—Chick-fil-a Camp Fundraiser

  • Saturday, July 1—College Class Float Trip
  • Sunday, July 2—Ice Cream Fellowship after Family Service
  • Thursday, July 20—VBS Decorating Night
