Welcome to CSBC

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church. This is such and exciting time of the year for us! Between camps and VBS, we are seeing our church family coming together in so many ways to make a difference in the lives of people inside and outside our church family. It is such a joy to see so many people doing what we can do together with an expectation that the Lord will do what we can’t! To Him be all the glory and praise! 16 Verses Continues Tonight

Our Family Service series “16 Verses That Tell the Whole Story of the Bible” continues at 6:00 this evening. Children and adults are learning that the Bible is not a “storybook” but is a book that tells one story, His story, and how this story applies to every man, woman, boy and girl in this world.

Campers Leave Monday

Pray for our young people who leave in the morning for youth camp! We have a number of students going who are unchurched or unsaved, so please pray specifically for them. Also pray that the Lord will work in the hearts of every young person and their counsellors as well. By the way, if you know of a teen who would benefit from camp, contact Andy Young today and we will do what we can to get them there. Thank you so much for so many who have given to make camp available to so many kids this year.

You Can Make a Difference in Vacation Bible School

VBS Volunteers

Vacation Bible School is just two weeks away, July 24 – 28. Even if you can’t volunteer during VBS, there are so many ways you can volunteer to help –like decor and crafts to prepare, supplies to procure., and decoration nights as well. We also need an army of volunteers to help during VBS. Contact Emma in the church office if you would like to help!

VBS Cookies

We need cookies for the kids at VBS. If you would be willing, would pick up a package or two of cookies the next time you go to the grocery and drop them off at the church office or in the tub in the lobby. Thanks for your help!

VBS Canvassing

In addition to our regular Outreach teams, for the next few weeks, we would like to invite you to come out at 6:30 to help us canvass our “Jerusalem” neighborhoods around the church with VBS door hangers. Every year we have guests who come because of these efforts, and some of them get saved as a result!

Be a Part of CSBC Outreach

Each week we have teams that make visits, write cards and letters, drop off Welcome Home packets to new move-ins and make phone calls – all for the purpose of actively reaching and ministering to make a difference in the life of another person whom Jesus loves. On Monday evenings, all the teams are in full swing at 6:30, and we even provide a meal for those who want to come at 6:00. We have teams that minister to our seniors and others on Thursday at 10 am, and then Outreach happens again on Saturday morning at 10:00. Register each week by texting “outreach” to the church number, 417.889.1999.

Next Steps & Financial Peace

On Wednesday evenings this summer, we have the Financial Peace University Bible Study (contact Micah Young or Adam Pardue). Our Adult Bible study, currently taught by two young men who are living out the principles of a Bible Study called “Mentoring: Investing In Others.” Make your “Next Step” the right step by being a part of our Wednesday Bible studies.
