Digital Bulletin 8-6-2023
Welcome to CSBC

Summer is coming to a close. Schools are starting back in a couple of weeks. The annual cycle continues. While all seems to be moving along as “normal,” for many people, God has changed their life in this season. Our church has been blessed to see many people reached this summer with the Gospel. Others have been brought “home” and been added to our church family. If this is your first time with us, we want you to know that we are honored by your presence. Church family, let’s welcome all these guests the Lord has sent our way! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Last Week Was Incredible

After the great week at VBS, last Sunday was exciting as we saw the Lord add to our church and to His Forever Family! The LeTourneau family send-off to Uganda was a wonderful demonstration of God’s blessings at the close of the VBS Family service. On Monday evening we saw God do amazing things with a record number from our church family participating in Outreach to continue to minister to and reach the families who took part in Vacation Bible School. We praise God for all He is doing in us, with us, and through us!
16 Verses That Tell The Whole Story Continues

The Bible is a book made up of 66 books written by 49 different men moved by the Holy Spirit over 1500 years, containing many different personal stories, prophecies (many already fulfilled) and historical accounts. But these are all part of ONE story! In our 6 p.m. Family Service on Sunday we continue “16 Verses That Tell The Whole Story,” a study of 16 key verses that stand as turning points in the Bible’s storyline. Children and adults are learning how God’s Word tells a single story about His glory and His grace.
Back To School Town Hall For Parents, August 20

On Sunday afternoon, at 5 p.m., we will be hosting a special time for equipping parents and grandparents with children in school this fall. We will be providing information and highly useful tools, like understanding the school culture here in our city, kids and technology and helpful strategies for those who love kids. Please register by texting the words “town hall” to 417.889.1999.
Solomon Send Off

Jon, Olivia, Isaiah and Benaiah Solomon will be headed to Chile to serve as Intern Missionaries, their next necessary step to approval as career missionaries to a country that needs the Gospel. We will be sending them out from CSBC on Sunday evening, August 20.
CSBC Outreach Teams

Join one of our teams tomorrow evening at 6:30 who will make home visits, write cards and letters, make phone calls of encouragement – all for the purpose of actively reaching and ministering to make a difference in the life of another person whom Jesus loves. We provide a meal for those who come at 6:00. Register by texting “outreach” to the church number, 417.889.1999.
Pavilion Project

Costs are surging as we are in the process of building the new pavilion, which will be a wonderful event space for our ministries. Please consider helping with the costs of the pavilion by including your special gifts marked for the pavilion over the next few weeks.
Discipled Veteran Meeting Wednesdays

We are excited to see how God is working in the lives of veterans through this ministry every Wednesday evening at 6:30. Keep a stack of the invitations on hand to share with vets who need Jesus. They are all around us!

Thank You For Your Faithful Giving

We want to encourage everyone to be faithful with their tithes and offerings.
You can give:
By using dropping your offering envelopes into the offering boxes in the back of the auditorium and on the walls in the lobby
Through the website at mycsbc.com
On the Realm Connect app
Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.
Thank you so much for your faithfulness in giving to the Lord
