Welcome to CSBC

The psalmist gave this wonderful invitation: “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture,” (Psalm 95:6-7). It is a wonderful privilege to be invited into the presence of the God, to be identified as one of His! That is why we are here. We want to lift up the name of the Jesus and praise Him for His forgiveness, mercy and grace. Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Pray for Parents, Kids, & Teachers

As most of our students and teachers head back to school this week, we want to lift them up in prayer. Whether public, private, Christian school or home schoolers, these dear ones need God’s blessing and protection every day.

Back To School Town Hall For Parents, Sunday Afternoon

On Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, we will be hosting a special time for parents and grandparents with children in school this fall. We will be providing information and highly useful tools, like understanding the school culture here in our city, kids and technology and other helpful strategies for those who love kids.

Solomon Send Off

Jon, Olivia, Isaiah and Benaiah Solomon will be headed to Chile to serve as Intern Missionaries this week. After they complete their internship, they will return to seek approval as career missionaries to this country that desperately needs the Gospel. We will be hearing from them during and celebrating with them after the Family Service Sunday evening.

“16 Verses That Tell The Whole Story” Concludes

In our 6 p.m. Family Service we will conclude our study of “16 Verses That Tell The Whole Story.” This has been a wonderful study of 16 key verses that stand as turning points in the overall story of how God’s Word tells a single story about His glory and His grace.

Griefshare This Thursday

GriefShare is a 13-week, Christ-centered support group for people who have lost a loved one in death. Each session features topics like comfort, answers and hope. GriefShare meets this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Awana Begins Wednesday

Awana (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed), our Wednesday evening program for children begins August 23. This wonderful, weekly discipleship program is designed to challenge children and young people to hide God’s Word in their hearts and apply God’s Word to their lives. Be sure to register your children at the table in the lobby today. For more information, contact Jake Severs.

Pavilion Project

Costs are surging as we are in the process of building the new pavilion, which will be a wonderful event space for our ministries. Please consider helping with the costs of the pavilion by including your special gifts marked for the pavilion over the next few weeks.

CSBC Outreach Teams

Join one of our teams Monday evening at 6:30 who will make home visits, write cards and letters, make phone calls of encouragement – all for the purpose of actively reaching and ministering to make a difference in the life of another person whom Jesus loves. We provide a meal for those who come at 6:00. Register by texting “outreach” to the church number, 417.889.1999.
