Welcome to CSBC

Welcome to our worship service! We are delighted to have you with us. Wherever you come from, whatever questions or needs you bring with you, we want you to know that you are welcome here. We gather here to worship our God who loves us beyond measure. I pray each one of you will feel God’s presence today as we lift our voices in song, bow our heads in prayer, and open our hearts to hear God’s word. May we all be encouraged and challenged by our time spent together in God’s house today. If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

God’s Word calls us to be peacemakers. While the situation in Israel is complex, we believe in a God who desires peace and justice for all people. The Psalmist calls us to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem…” (Psalm 122:6a). As a church family, let’s unite in praying for the peace of Jerusalem and for all those affected by the violence there. Let’s lift up the people of the Holy Land, trusting that God can bring light even to the darkest of circumstances. God’s people are to stand with Israel. Despite the horrific events that are still unfolding, continue to trust in the Almighty God who keeps His promises to His people.

“No One Left Behind” Enlistment Dinner Sunday at 5:30

We are excited about our Enlistment Dinner Sunday evening in the Gillming Center at 5:30 p.m. We will be introducing our fall Sunday School emphasis, “No One Left Behind.” Please bring a dessert tonight and join us for an exciting time at this free event!

Family Fall Festival

The leaves are changing colors, and the air is getting crisp, which means fall is in full swing! Our church is hosting a fun Family Fall Festival on Saturday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. Bring the whole family to enjoy autumn activities. We’ll have crafts, games, and treats for the kids. Wear your comfy sweaters and get ready for some old-fashioned fall fun at the CSBC Kids Family Fall Festival!

Praising God for Your Faith

We are approaching $300,000 in our annual faith promise commitments, for which we praise the Lord! There is still time to get your Faith Promise Missions Commitment in by filling out a card today and dropping it into one of the offering boxes.

Missionary Sent Teams

Sent Teams give our church family the opportunity to be a part of a team that communicates with and ministers to the missionaries sent from the church. Our “Sent Teams” are not fundraisers for the missionaries. Their role is to raise prayer support within our church. They provide encouragement for the missionary family. They also keep the church and pastor “in the know” about their missionaries. They meet at least once per quarter to discuss their communications, opportunities to serve and pray for their missionary. Team leaders keep the team connected. You can make a real difference in the lives of our missionaries. Text the word “sent” to 417.889.1999 or call the church office to join a sent team or for more information.

Paris Olympics & Canada Missions Trips

Next summer we will be taking two mission trips. One group will be heading to Paris, France to give out the Gospel during the Olympics. Another group will be heading to Calgary to serve alongside the Pratt family. If you are interested in taking part in either of these trips, contact Pastor Jason Lange (Paris Olympics) or Andy Young (Calgary).

Mark Your Calendars for Two Special Sundays

Please note two very special Sundays coming in November. First, on November 12, we will be honoring all veterans in our service, and providing a meal for them and their families afterward. Then, on November 19, we will enjoy our annual Family Day Celebration with a Thanksgiving dinner in the afternoon.
