I'm Interested In:

Welcome to CSBC

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church, where God is changing lives! Once again this past week, new people came to faith in Christ! If you are a guest with us, we want you to know we are glad you are here. We have asked God to do something wonderful in your heart! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Honoring Veterans Next Sunday

We honor those who have served in the armed forces during the Morning Worship service. Afterwards, we will host a dinner for veterans and their families. Take a handful of invitations, and when you see someone wearing a military hat, shirt, or have a decal on their car, thank them for serving and invite them to come!

“No One Left Behind” Phase 2 Report: Sunday School Classes

We believe God’s Word gives us direction, wisdom, comfort, hope and encouragement – things we desperately need in our lives. We recognize every believer is at a different place in their walk with the Lord. We want to encourage you to take part in the regular study of God’s Word and enjoy the blessings of community through a Bible Study class each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. To this end each class has attendance goals to work toward both on Veterans Sunday and Family Day.

“No One Left Behind” Phase 1 Report

The mission of Phase 1 of our Fall Emphasis through our Sunday Bible classes is to personally contact everyone who is connected to us – class members, prospects and guests. The report after two weeks is that our classes made an another 434 face to face or voice to voice contacts in the second week for an incredible total of 756 in just two weeks! We look forward to seeing many of these back with us in our services very soon! Help your class this third and final week leave no one behind. If everyone does something small, something great will be accomplished.

Family Day November 19

We love Family Day here at CSBC. On this exciting Sunday we will enjoy a Thanksgiving Dinner and musical guests, Soul’d Out. Pick up invitations and use them to be sure that no one you can influence for Jesus will be left behind! We are asking you to have someone as your guest on Family Day. You can make an eternal difference.

Family Day Dinner

On Family Day, we will provide the turkey, mashed potatoes, bread and drinks. We are asking everyone to bring the balance of the meal. Specifically, bring green beans or a green bean casserole, corn or corn casserole, and dessert, enough for your family and a visiting family as well. Please bring them all in disposable containers. We will put it all together for a Family Day feast!

Ladies Night Out

Ladies, join us on Friday at 6:30pm and have an enjoyable, relaxing evening together. For those who choose to sign up in advance, we will be painting mugs from Firehouse Pottery. The cost is $15 to paint a mug, which includes all supplies. Or you can just come and enjoy the snacks and fellowship for $3. This is a great chance to connect with friends old and new. Please RSVP by November 5th.

Social Media Parent Guidebooks

It’s common for parents to feel lost in their teen’s world. They can sift through the social media slang, texting shorthand, and viral quotes, and still feel disconnected and confused. In our Faith@Home Resource Center we have a limited number of Axis Parent’s Guide to Social Media for sale. These are a generational translator of a teen’s world, featuring easy-to-understand explanations, relevant descriptions, and life applications.
