Welcome to CSBC

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name,” (John 1:12). Jesus made it possible for everyone to be a part of His forever family! We want you to know we are glad you are here for our annual Cherry Street Baptist Church Family Day celebration! If you are a regular part of our church family, thank you for all your work in making this day possible. Let’s make all our guests feel welcome today. If you are a guest with us, we want you to know we prayed for you and prepared for you to come! We are so glad you are here! If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Welcome to Family Day at CSBC!

During the long tenure of our founding pastor, Dr. Kenneth Gillming, our church began to use the slogan, “Cherry Street Baptist Church, where everyone is family.” We still embrace the ethos of being a family oriented church in three ways. First, we want everyone to feel right at home when coming to CSBC. We want to be welcoming and encouraging to everyone the Lord sends our way. Second, we want to be a church that speaks God’s truth into every family and every individual. Among all our other ministries, our focus is on families during our Sunday evening family services and our Faith at Home Center. Finally, we want to love one another as a spiritual family. No one here is perfect. We want to encourage one another when we are struggling, pray for and minister to one another when someone is suffering. As a family, we want to “rejoice with them that rejoice.”

Welcome Soul’d Out

We are privileged to welcome back to CSBC Matt Rankin and “Soul’d Out.” You will enjoy their music during the service Sunday morning, as well as the concert that afternoon.

Enjoy A Thanksgiving Dinner

We have prepared a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner for you after the service Sunday morning. There is plenty of turkey and desserts, plenty of food for everyone, so please stay and enjoy the delicious meal.

Schedule Changes This Week

We will not be having our regular Family Service this evening. Instead, we will come back to the Worship Center for the Soul’d Out concert after lunch today. Our midweek prayer and Bible Study service will move to Tuesday evening at 6:30 for a Thanksgiving Prayer & Praise service. The church offices will be closed Wednesday – Friday this week.

2023 Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering

Each year our Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering is used for projects and needs that are a blessing to our church family. The largest item in last year’s offering was the remodel of our kitchen, which has been a wonderful blessing. This year we are addressing a number of important needs. First, we will be using a portion of this year’s offering to help a number of families in our church who have different needs. Other projects include replacing the ceiling and lights in the college classroom and kitchen in the A Building; doing the finishing touches on the pavilion; purchasing new tables and chairs for the pavilion; new bathroom partitions; restriping the gym floor; and new water fountains. We believe we can accomplish these projects for $40,000. Please pray about what you can do to help us with these important projects!
