Welcome to CSBC

December is here! It has traditionally been a time of year when many people will attend a church service if invited by someone who cares about them. Church family, over the next few weeks, let’s pay close attention to those around us and make them welcome! If you are a guest, we are thankful you are here. We are praying that the Lord will speak to you through the music, teaching and preaching of God’s Word. If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Three More Sundays To Christmas

It seems the worlds of entertainment and commerce begin a Christmas frenzy earlier and earlier each year. At CSBC we turn our attention to the first coming of Jesus during the month of December. It is a blessing to hear the truth about the coming of the Savior in the music, teaching and preaching. In order to help you keep Christ the focus of your Christmas, we encourage you to be a part of each service, activity and event of the Christmas season.

Christmas Musicals

Next Sunday evening, December 10 at 6 p.m., our children’s choirs will present “Star Search,” telling the story of the birth of the Savior from a very unique perspective. Then on December 17, Micah Young and the choir will present “Come, Worship the King,” a musical celebration of the coming of our Savior and King. At this time of year, people who wouldn’t normally attend a “preaching service” will often accept an invitation to enjoy the music of the season, so pick up a few invitation cards today! It might just be the thing God uses to make an eternal difference in their life!

2023 Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering

Each year our Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering is used for projects and needs that are a blessing to our church family. This year we are addressing a number of important needs. First, we will be using a portion of this year’s offering to help a number of families in our church who have different needs. Other projects include replacing the ceiling and lights in the college classroom and kitchen in the A Building; doing the finishing touches on the pavilion; purchasing new tables and chairs for the pavilion; new bathroom partitions in the lobby; restriping the gym floor; and new water fountains. We believe we can accomplish these projects for $40,000. Please pray about what you can do to help us with these important projects!

Christmas Card Post Office Opens Next Sunday

Many of our church family save on postage through CSBC’s Christmas Card Post Office. The mailbox is located in the northeast corner of lobby by the missionary letters. Beginning next week, the cards will be sorted and available after services.

Don’t Miss CSBC Kids Christmas Party

This year’s CSBC Kids Christmas Party is coming in just two weeks, on Saturday, December 9, 2-4 p.m. They will have a great time with games, activities and an exciting Christmas story (and parents can get a little Christmas shopping done while the kids are enjoying themselves). CSBC wants to help every family keep Christ the center of Christmas!

Thanks To The Decorating Team

We are so thankful for Jana Jennings and the team of volunteers who came yesterday to decorate for Christmas. It is a huge job that certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. We love the Christmas atmosphere as we celebrate the birth of our Savior for the next few weeks!
