Welcome to CSBC

Presidents Day honors two of our greatest presidents who led our country in great battles for freedom. George Washington served as a general in the Revolutionary War, then was elected President of a free United States of America. Abraham Lincoln served as the 16th President, whose courage and conviction led our country to abolish slavery and make all men free. We thank the Lord for the freedom we enjoy as a nation. But it is only in the Lord Jesus Christ that we can be made truly free from the sins of our past, strength for our journey here, and the sure and certain hope of eternal life! Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church on this Freedom Sunday. If you are a guest with us, please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Welcome Darren Myers

Darren Myers served 28 years as a pastor in Rolla, Missouri. For many years, Darren, and his wife Tammy, have been presenting Bible truth about preserving freedom in America, which led to them producing the Freedom Journey Show in Branson since 2017. Sunday morning Darren will be speaking on “Freedom & Boundaries.” During Sunday evening’s Family Service, he will be sharing “The Biblical View of Government” (which he said is “far more exciting than it sounds”). Let’s show this family a warm CSBC welcome.

Debt Retirement Offering & Pledges Sunday, March 3

We have taken a bold step of faith to trust God to help us pay off the our “Million Dollar Debt” by our 65th Anniversary Celebration in July. Our debt has been paid down to $103,000. We are already scheduled to pay $36,000 from our budget by that time, leaving us just $67,000 to pay it off! We will be receiving pledges for one time, weekly or monthly gifts and a special offering on Sunday, March 3. We are designating those who pledge as “Faith & Freedom Partners.” Will you please pray about what God will lead you to do?

“Reboot” Your Christian Life with First Step Class

Many people trust Jesus as their Savior, but have never had their Christian life grounded on a firm foundation. Or you might be like one of the great ladies who said that her walk with the Lord needs a fresh “reboot.” If either describes you, our First Step “Foundations of the Christian Life,” is just right for you. The class meets Wednesday evenings in the Staff Conference Room in the north hallway.

Easter Planning for Teachers & Workers @4:53 Sunday

Sunday’s 4:53 meeting is especially important as we begin our “Countdown to Easter.” We have a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in our classes and those who need Jesus over the next few weeks. Whether you are a current teacher or care group leader, or you are interested in being a part, join us for this very important meeting!

Ladies Retreat Coming April 5-6

Discovery Class Concludes Sunday; Returns April 14

Sunday we conclude this session of our three week Discovery class. We’ve been sharing our church’s vision to spread God’s love in our community and beyond, and helping attenders explore how to grow in their faith and find their place as part of our church. We’d love for you to join us in our next session beginning Sunday, April 14.
