Welcome to CSBC

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church. Coming home from a trip always reminds me how blessed we are at CSBC. It’s heartwarming to come back to our church family who are faithfully serving God and each other. Your dedication touches my heart and makes me grateful for the incredible work God is doing here. It’s moments like these that make CSBC feel like a true spiritual home. We feel much like the Apostle Paul expressed: “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:3-6). Everyone is Welcome

God has continued to bless during these summer months with people being saved, baptized and added to our church. It is our joy to welcome guests to our church each week. Church family, we want to make sure our guests are made to feel welcome. This means greeting them and asking their names. It means helping them find a place to sit. It means we go out of our way to meet them and thank them for coming at the close of the service. It means we want to be more than just “nice people.” We want to be friendly and by doing so, acknowledge their value to us and to the Lord. Let’s not just say they are welcome, let’s show them!

Volunteers Making a Difference Lining the Gym Floor

Our church family is so blessed to have people who volunteer to serve the church family outside of church hours. They save our church multiplied thousands of dollars and paid employee hours regularly. For example, just this week, a group of volunteers came to help repaint the lines on our gym floor and add three pickleball courts there as well. With volunteers, we accomplished with hundreds of dollars what would have cost more than ten thousand! Thanks to all those who volunteer to be a blessing to our entire church!

Pray for The Calgary Missions Team

Youth Pastor Andy Young and the team arrived in Calgary safely in the wee hours of Friday morning and are doing well. Be praying for them as they help missionaries Steve and Laura Pratt with children and youth events in their new church plant.

Pray for The Paris Missions Team

Beginning July 30, Pastor Jason Lange is leading a group of young adults who are participating with teams from other churches across the country to distribute 500,000 tracts with links to Gospel presentations in more than 200 languages to those attending the Paris Olympics. We are expecting to hear about many souls who come to Christ because of these efforts. Please pray for a great harvest!

Join Us For Outreach

Our church is committed to reaching, teaching, and ministering to others in our church and community. This is accomplished partly through our outreach efforts on Monday evenings, Thursday and Saturday mornings. There is something for everyone’s comfort level, whether you come to make visits, write cards/letters, or make phone calls. On Monday evenings we provide a meal for those who choose to participate. Come and make a difference.

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin. The Connect App also allows you to be faithful with your giving. Realm Connect allows us to do many things more efficiently and effectively, like managing events, group attendance and communications and so much more!
