Welcome to CSBC

“The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad,” (Psalm 126:3). When Jesus Christ walked on this earth in human flesh, people flocked to Him because of the miracles He did. There is nothing more miraculous than seeing someone who was headed to eternal judgment because of their sin receive forgiveness of those sins and eternal life in heaven. We are privileged to witness this miracle virtually every week. You might ask, “How is that a miracle?” The answer is simple. It is an act of God. Jesus Christ did for us what no man can do for himself or anyone else. He died to pay for our sins. What a joy to see precious souls saved through our ministries virtually every week! God has been bringing so many new friends to our church family this summer. If this is your first time at CSBC, we’re so glad you are here! CSBC family, let’s show these dear ones a warm CSBC welcome! Please complete one of the communication cards during the worship service! We want to get acquainted with you, if you will allow us. Thank you for honoring us with your presence today. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Kevin Adams Family Send-Off Next Sunday

Next Sunday evening in our Family Service will be the last service Kevin and Stacey Adams, and their girls, Adrian, Addison, Avery, and Ashlee will have with us before they move to Wales to serve as career missionaries. Don’t miss this special send-off for the Adams.

Paris Mission Team Report This Evening

The group who went to Paris to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and pass out thousands of tracts arrived home safely on Friday night. In our Family Service tonight at 6 p.m., We will be hearing a report on their trip. Continue to ask God for souls to come to know Jesus because of their investment in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to those attending the Olympic games.

Awana Becomes Truth Trackers

For two years we have been slowly transitioning our Wednesday night Children’s discipleship program to Truth Trackers, a children’s discipleship curriculum like Awana, that is focused on Bible memorization and a greater emphasis on understanding and application of the verses the kids are learning. Truth Trackers begins Wednesday, August 28.

Back To School Town Hall

The Bible gives parents, not the government, the responsibility to raise and educate their children. Today, there are many voices who are usurping that responsibility with a goal of giving children a worldview contrary to the teaching of God’s Word. This is happening right here in Springfield. On Wednesday evening, August 21, we will be sharing with parents and grandparents information to help protect your children from spiritual and moral influences that are contrary to God’s Word.

Prime Timers Meet Tuesday

If you are 55 or older join us this Tuesday for our Prime Timers Luncheon. This week’s theme is “Back To School.” Cost of the lunch is $5, but your first week is on us! There’s music and laughter and lots of great fellowship as well as a lesson from God’s Word. Join us Tuesday, August 13, here at church at 10:30 am.

Open Pickleball Night this Thursday

This Thursday evening from 6-8:30, we will open the Gillming Center for Pickleball. Also, to help those who may be unfamiliar with pickleball or want to learn more about the game, we are hosting a pickleball clinic on Thursday evening, August 22. There is a potential second clinic on August 29 if needed. Registration information can be found at the Info Hub online or in the lobby.

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC.
