Welcome to CSBC

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! You are here during our annual missions emphasis, where we talk about our involvement in sending the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people who are living without the hope of forgiveness and eternal life. If you are a guest for the first time today, we want you to know we are glad you are here. You are important to God and to us. We are thankful you have chosen to worship with us today. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!
-Pastor Dennis Jennings
“Search & Rescue” Missions Continues

Our conference theme is based on the search and rescue mission of Jesus. He clearly stated in Luke 19:10 that He came for one purpose: “to seek and to save that which was lost.” We were blessed by the preaching of Linzy Slayden this past week as we kicked off our conference!
Welcome New Missionaries

We began our missions emphasis last Sunday with missionaries sent out of Cherry Street Baptist Church to Kenya: Nolan & Janay LeTourneau; Christine Enoch; and Jim & Sybil Eberhard. We also met (via recorded interview) Elliot & Bethany Duenow to South Africa. Today you will meet new missionaries Jacob and Sydney Mulford to Portugal; Rich & Krista Moeller to Scotland; Nicko & Denise Guyer to Guatemala.

Conference Schedule Rearranged

Not only did the hurricane disrupt the eastern portion of our country this week, we had a convergence of unforeseen weather and scheduling challenges that the Lord used to change our missions conference schedule. Our Faith Promise Commitment Sunday will be next Sunday, October 6. This will allow us to meet our new missionaries today! We praise the Lord for guiding our steps as we consider what it means to be a part of “Search & Rescue Missions.”
Wednesday Prayer & Praise, and Bonfire

Because of the forecasted weather, we cancelled our Missions Conference bonfire last Friday evening. On Wednesday evening at 6:30 will be a Missions prayer and praise service at the pavilion, followed by a bonfire and s’mores. For the kids, CSBC Readers and Truth Trackers will continue at their regular times, and they will join us at the close for the bonfire!
GriefShare Continues This Thursday Evening

GriefShare is designed to provide comfort, encouragement, and healing to those going through grief. The fall session of GriefShare continues this week, and meets weekly on Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. If you are dealing with a loss, come and take part in this ministry.
