It is a blessing to gather as the Cherry Street Baptist Church family today, especially as we honor the brave men and women who have served our nation. We’re seeing God work in remarkable ways – lives are being transformed, families are growing stronger in their faith, and new faces are joining our church family each week. Whether you’re a long-time member, a first-time guest, or one of our cherished veterans, we want you to know that you are valued and loved. We count it a privilege to worship alongside you today as we celebrate both God’s amazing grace and those who’ve sacrificed to protect our freedom to worship Him. We Thank God For Our Veterans

During this morning’s worship service, we will take time to specially recognize and honor our veterans from every branch of military service. Each veteran will receive a special gift as a small token of our deep appreciation for their sacrifice and service to our nation. Following the service, we invite all veterans and their families to join us in the Fellowship Hall for a special dinner in their honor. It’s our privilege to express our gratitude to these heroes who have served to protect our freedoms.

Search & Rescue Continues

Our Search & Rescue Sunday School emphasis continues to build momentum as we work together to reach those who need the Lord. This week, we enter Stage 2: Reach, where we begin making initial contact with those we’ve identified and invite them to Family Day on November 24. If you haven’t yet turned in your Locator Cards identifying those who are lost or have wandered from their faith, it’s not too late – we’re still collecting these vital connection points in all Sunday School classes. Through our combined efforts and prayers, we’re trusting God to use Family Day as the beginning of a spiritual transformation in many lives. Historically, this special Sunday brings our highest attendance of the year, with many first-time guests and returning friends joining us. Let’s work together to make this Family Day a turning point for those who need to experience God’s amazing grace and the warmth of our church family.

Family Day, November 24

Family Day on November 24 is more than just a special service – it’s a divine appointment to impact eternity! We’re asking each member to not only invite family members who don’t regularly attend church, but also to “adopt” an unchurched friend or neighbor for this life-changing day. Our Celebration Service will feature the inspiring music of The Williamsons, followed by our annual Thanksgiving dinner – a perfect opportunity to show Christian love and hospitality. The church will provide turkeys and mashed potatoes, and we’re asking everyone to bring their favorite Thanksgiving dishes to share. Whether it’s a prodigal child, an unsaved coworker, or a neighbor who’s drifted from church, this could be the Sunday they encounter God’s transforming power. Let’s pray, invite, and expect God to work miracles as we gather for what has become one of our most spiritually significant Sundays of the year.

Griefshare Surviving The Holidays

The holiday season can feel overwhelming for those who’ve lost loved ones. Our GriefShare Surviving the Holidays event provides practical coping tools, emotional support, and the comfort of walking alongside others who understand this journey of grief. If you’re facing the upcoming holidays with a sense of loss, we invite you to join us this Saturday, November 16, from 1-3 PM in the Fellowship Hall. This special gathering offers hope and healing during what can be a challenging season.

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin.
