What a joy it is to gather as Cherry Street Baptist Church family on this beautiful November morning! The Lord continues to work mightily in our midst – folks are coming to Christ, families are growing deeper in their walk with the Lord, and we’re seeing new visitors every week. Whether you’ve been part of our church family for years or this is your very first Sunday with us, please know that you’re loved and welcomed here. Search & Rescue Continues

Our Search & Rescue emphasis is moving into its final phase as we prepare hearts and prayers for Family Day next Sunday. The Lord has been working through your faithful efforts these past weeks – making contacts, showing kindness, and inviting folks to join us. Now we’re at Stage 4: Evacuate, where we make that final push to bring people under the sound of the Gospel. Remember what Jesus taught in Luke 14:23, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” If you’re still working to reach someone, don’t give up! There’s still time to invite friends, neighbors, and loved ones to experience the life-changing power of God’s Word and the warmth of our church family next Sunday. We’re expecting our highest attendance of the year, and more importantly, we’re expecting the Lord to work in mighty ways!

Family Day, November 24

Family Day is just one week away, and we’re praying it will be a turning point in many lives! This special Sunday, November 24, is not just another church service – it is an opportunity to reach souls for eternity. We’re blessed to have The Williamsons joining us for our Celebration Service, followed by our church family’s Thanksgiving feast. The church will provide the turkeys and mashed potatoes – bring your favorite holiday dishes to round out the meal! Make sure to bring enough for you and another family.

The Lord promises in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void.” Who has the Lord laid on your heart to invite? That wayward family member, unsaved neighbor, or friend who’s stepped away from church – this could be their Sunday to experience God’s amazing grace. Let’s be in prayer this week that the Lord will work in mighty ways as we gather for what has become one of our most powerful outreach Sundays of the year.

Christmas is Coming to CSBC

Christmas at CSBC is always a special time of worship and celebration of our Savior’s birth! On Sunday, December 15, our adult choir will present “Love Came For Me” during the 10:30 morning service – a powerful musical reminder that “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son” (John 3:16). That evening at 6:00, our children’s choir will warm your hearts with their presentation of “A Quizzical Christmas.” Then on December 22, we’ll gather for a beautiful Christmas Sunday morning service, followed by an evening with the Allen Family at 6:00 PM. And don’t miss our candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6:00 PM. These services provide wonderful opportunities to invite friends and family to hear the true message of Christmas – that Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. Make plans now to join us for these meaningful celebrations of our Lord’s birth! Christmas is coming!

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin.
