Welcome to CSBC

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church on this first Sunday of December! Today marks the beginning of a special time when we’ll celebrate the greatest story ever told – the arrival of our Savior in that humble manger in Bethlehem. Whether you’re joining us for the first time, returning after some time away, or have been part of our church family for years, we welcome you with open arms and grateful hearts. In this season of hope and joy, we’re thankful the Lord has brought you here to worship with us as we begin our Christmas journey together, reflecting on God’s perfect gift of love through His Son Jesus Christ. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Thanksgiving Blessings

On this Sunday after Thanksgiving, we want to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who helped make our recent Family Day such a wonderful success. What a blessing it was to see so many familiar faces and welcome new friends! To all those who served behind the scenes and during our celebration – your dedication and giving spirits truly exemplify Christ’s love in action. Your efforts have blessed our entire church family in countless ways, and we thank God for each one of you!

Christmas Is Coming!

Invite someone to join you on Sunday, December 15, as our Adult Choir presents ‘Love Came For Me’ – a powerful musical celebration of the truth that “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” (John 3:16). Make sure to return that evening at 6:00 PM when our children’s choir will warm your hearts with their delightful presentation of ‘A Quizzical Christmas.’ Both services promise to fill your heart with the joy and wonder of this joyous season!”

Christmas Sunday

On Christmas Sunday morning, December 22, gather with us for a Christmas Celebration with exciting music, a wonderful Christmas and a message of hope and joy to prepare our hearts to celebrate our Savior’s birth. The celebration continues that evening at 6:00 PM with ‘A Night of Christmas Light’ featuring the Allen Family leading us in worshipful Christmas music. Each of these services provides a perfect opportunity to invite friends and loved ones to hear the life-changing message that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Come make precious memories with us as we celebrate God’s perfect gift – our Savior, Jesus Christ!”

Christmas Eve

On Tuesday evening, December 24, on Christmas Eve join us at 6:00 PM to begin your family’s Christmas celebration by taking a brief time to pause and reflect on the miracle of Christ’s birth. Make Christmas 2024 meaningful in your life by starting it with praise and adoration for the Savior who was born that first Christmas night!

Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering

As we celebrate the greatest gift – our Savior’s birth – we have a special opportunity to give back to Him through our annual Birthday Gift for Jesus offering. This year, the Lord has placed on our hearts three vital projects: enhancing our children’s outdoor playground, updating the lobby’s heating and air system, and replacing the lower-level front roof of the Gillming Center. Through your faithful stewardship, God has already provided $15,000 toward our goal of $60,000. As you pray about your part in this special offering, remember that every gift is an act of worship that will impact generations to come. Together, we can reach the remaining $45,000 needed, ensuring our church continues to be a welcoming place where people meet Jesus and grow in their faith.
