Digital Bulletin 1-5-2025
Welcome to CSBC
Welcome to the first Sunday of 2025 at Cherry Street Baptist Church! It is fitting that we begin the new year in worship, as He is the One who gives new life to those who know Him. Whether you are a guest or a regular attender, we welcome you to our services on this first Sunday of the year. As we gather together to praise God and study His Word, we look forward to all He has planned for our church family in the coming year. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!
-Pastor Dennis Jennings
Read the Bible in 2025!
We want to encourage everyone to join us this year as we read God’s Word together in 2025. Our Reading Plan provides 25 daily readings each month, giving a few days to make up any that you might miss. It provides variety with passages from the Old and New Testaments each day. A printed copy of the “Navigators Reading Plan” is available at the Info Hub in the lobby. It is also available in the YouVersion app on your mobile device or online at Bible.com.
Christmas Offering Surpasses Goal!
As of this writing, we are at $66,477.40, having exceeded our Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering goal of $60,000. Every dollar over the goal allows us to take care of additional projects! We praise the Lord for His provision through your generosity. Thank you to everyone who has taken part!
Weather Impacts Ministries This Week
It looks like a serious winter storm will impact the beginning of our week. Because of the potential of ice and snow, we will not be having Outreach on Monday evening, nor Prime Timers on Tuesday. Both will return on Monday and Tuesday next week.
Prime Timers Conference: January 27-28
Join us for an uplifting Prime Timers’ Conference led by Paul Monroe. Through four enriching sessions, discover fresh perspectives and renewed purpose for this precious season of life. Mark your calendars for January 27-28, with sessions running 10am-12pm each morning, followed by fellowship over lunch. Don’t miss this life-changing opportunity to grow, connect, and be inspired! Register now to secure your place at this extraordinary conference designed especially for seniors.
Register Today for the Men’s Event January 31- February 1
Don’t miss the “Wild Beast Feast & Life Skills Retreat” at Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso! Join us January 31 – February 1 as Dr. David Gibbs Jr. (Christian Law Association) leads us in being “Forged in the Fire.” Experience powerful teaching, great food, and fellowship that will strengthen your walk with Christ. Register at the Info Hub online or in the lobby. Men, this is your time to grow stronger in faith together!
Experience “Football Sunday” on February 9
“Football Sunday” coincides with the Super Bowl, and is an evangelistic opportunity for our church that points unapologetically toward Jesus. The media presentations display how God is working through some of the players in the big game, and using them to impact the lives of others. We will be providing invitations for you to use to invite your unchurched friends. Begin praying now for “Football Sunday 2025.”
