Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! We’re grateful you’ve chosen to worship with us today, whether you’re returning or visiting for the first time. As we continue our “Circles of Hope” journey, we’re focusing on meaningful conversations that share Christ’s hope with others. Through our worship, Bible study, and fellowship today, may you experience God’s presence in a personal way and find encouragement for whatever challenges you’re facing. Our prayer is that Cherry Street will be a place where hope begins for you and extends through you to others in your circles of influence. “Hope Begins Here” Easter Sunday

Our message that “Hope Begins Here” is resonating throughout our community as our circles expand. Already, we’re hearing stories of hope-filled conversations happening in workplaces, neighborhoods, and schools. Each time you share this message, you’re planting seeds of hope in hearts that may be experiencing deep discouragement. This week, challenge yourself to have at least one intentional “hope conversation” that includes an invitation to join us. Remember, you’re not just inviting someone to church—you’re inviting them to encounter the living hope found only in Jesus Christ, the hope that begins here and extends into eternity.

Be A Hope Ambassador

Last week, many of you picked up “You Matter” and “Be My Friend” invitation cards. Today, we’re introducing our Easter-specific invitation cards designed to directly connect people to our Easter celebration. These invitation cards highlight our special Easter service where the message of hope will be proclaimed in its fullest expression. Consider using these cards as follow-up tools with those you’ve already spoken with in your circles of hope or as first-time invitations to others in your circles of influence who need to experience the hope of resurrection.

Ladies Retreat This Weekend – It’s Not Too Late!

This weekend is our Ladies Retreat on April 11-12, 2025! Registration closed last week; however, we do have two rooms still available. This could potentially be up to 8 more slots available based on how many want to join. Contact Emma immediately if interested. Don’t miss this chance to refresh your spirit, strengthen friendships, and grow in your faith journey alongside your sisters in Christ!

Your Vote Counts

This Tuesday, April 8, there is a very important School Board election here in Springfield. The outcome of this election will not just impact the business side of Springfield Public Schools, it will affect every student. There are candidates running who have taken very specific and clear stands on issues that ought to be important to every Christian parent and grandparent. We have Voter Guides available at the Info Hub that will show you who those candidates are. Remember that if a candidate will not answer a question posed by Christian organizations, it is likely they are aware that their answers would be contrary to a biblical worldview. This is an opportunity for every believer to make your voice heard.

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.
