Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome! As we gather today, the anticipation of Easter fills my heart with gratitude and hope. I’m personally thankful that you’ve chosen to worship with us today at Cherry Street Baptist Church. These days leading to the cross and empty tomb remind us of God’s extraordinary love and the living hope we have in Christ. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or have been part of our church family for years, my prayer is that today’s service draws you closer to our Savior. May His presence bring peace to your heart and renew your spirit as we worship together and prepare our hearts for the resurrection celebration next Sunday. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Easter Sunday Celebration at Cherry Street

Join us next Sunday as we celebrate our Risen Savior! Begin your Easter morning with our Resurrection Bible Study at 9:30 AM, where we’ll explore the profound hope found in Christ’s victory over death. Then experience our special Easter worship service featuring our choir presenting beautiful music that proclaims the resurrection message. The celebration continues into the evening, as we gather for our Family Service at 6:00 PM to observe the Lord’s Supper—a meaningful time to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and triumph. We invite you to make Easter Sunday a full day of worship and fellowship!

“Hope Begins Here” This Easter Sunday

Last week, many of you picked up “You Matter” and “Be My Friend” invitation cards. Today, we’re introducing our Easter-specific invitation cards designed to directly connect people to our Easter celebration. These invitation cards highlight our special Easter service where the message of hope will be proclaimed in its fullest expression. Consider using these cards as follow-up tools with those you’ve already spoken with in your circles of hope or as first-time invitations to others in your circles of influence who need to experience the hope of resurrection.

Celebrating God’s Work Among Us

We rejoice in God’s work among us! Last Sunday, two souls trusted Christ as Savior and we celebrated a believer’s baptism. God’s Spirit moves powerfully—another person came to faith this week and five more are scheduled to be baptized today! These decisions remind us that resurrection power actively transforms lives today. Each testimony represents hope found and lives forever changed by grace. As Easter approaches, let’s pray expectantly for more hearts to be touched as we share Christ’s gospel.

Discover Your Own “Go To Verses” Like Jesus Did.

Join us this Sunday evening at our Family Service as we continue our inspiring series, “The Go-To Verses of Jesus.” Discover the powerful Old Testament passages Jesus Himself turned to throughout His ministry. Each week, we explore how Jesus used Scripture to reveal His identity, purpose, and saving work. This Sunday, we’ll examine another remarkable passage that shows us why Jesus’s words carry divine authority. Bring the whole family for age-appropriate activities at the Lemonade Stand that help children connect with God’s Word. Come discover why these treasured verses were so important to Jesus, and how they can become meaningful go-to verses in your own spiritual journey!
