Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! God continues to move in remarkable ways among us as we gather to worship, grow, and serve together. We’re truly thankful that you’ve joined our church family today, whether you’re a longtime member or visiting for the first time. Our prayer is that during our time together, you’ll experience the presence of the Lord, find encouragement through His Word, and connect meaningfully with those around you. Each person who walks through our doors matters deeply to God and to us. As we open our hearts to what God has for us today, may His truth transform our lives and draw us closer to Him and to one another. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Welcome Special Guest: Dr. Glenn Clary

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Glenn Clary to our pulpit this morning! As Vice President for Strategic Partnerships at Liberty University and a former member of our Cherry Street family, Glenn’s faithful service to the Lord has taken him as a young man from CSBC to positions of significant impact for God in our country, and we’re blessed to have him back with us today. His heart for ministry and his commitment to Biblical truth have been hallmarks of his walk with the Lord. Please take time to greet him and his dear wife, Debbie and let them know how much it means to have them here once again. We look forward to being challenged and encouraged through the message God has placed on his heart for us today.

Honoring Our 2025 Graduates

Today, we celebrate milestones as we honor our Cherry Street graduates who have demonstrated perseverance and faith throughout their academic journeys. During our morning service, we’ll recognize each graduate and present them with a special gift from their church family. Please join us in congratulating these and praying for God’s guidance as many of them begin new chapters in their lives.

Memorial Day Weekend Church Picnic

Join your church family for our Memorial Day Weekend Picnic next Sunday evening from 5-7PM at our pavilion! Bring a picnic supper, enough to share – your favorite picnic specialty or summer treat. The church will provide all paper products and drinks. This relaxed evening will give us time to connect, and enjoy good food, while kicking off the summer season together. There’s even a bounce house for the kids! It’s also a perfect opportunity to invite friends or neighbors to experience our church fellowship. Come hungry for both food and fellowship as we gather at the pavilion for this special evening! Don’t forget your lawn chairs and outdoor games!

VBS Countdown: Just 14 Days Away!

“Agents of ASK” VBS launches June 1, just 14 days away! Thank you to everyone who joined our volunteer team, but we still have key positions to fill – please stop by the Info Hub or contact Emma DaShiell today. Help us spread the word by joining our VBS Door Hanger Blitz! Teams will be going out Monday evenings (6:30 PM), Thursday and Saturday mornings (10:00 AM) for the next few weeks to reach our community, or you can take door hangers for your own neighborhood. No experience needed—just a willing heart and comfortable shoes! This week, please pray specifically for our team, preparations, and the families God is preparing to attend. VBS is our greatest opportunity to share Christ with children who need Him!

Pre-Memorial Day Service – Wednesday, May 21

This Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM, all adults and teens will gather in the Sanctuary for our special pre-Memorial Day service hosted by our Discipled Veterans Ministry. The highlight of this meaningful event will be the presentation of handcrafted “Quilts of Valor” to several deserving veterans from our church and community. These beautiful quilts represent our heartfelt gratitude for their sacrifice and service to our country. Please invite family, friends, and especially any veterans you know to join us for this patriotic evening as we honor those who have defended our freedoms.
