Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! On this Memorial Day weekend, we gather with grateful hearts—both for God’s faithfulness and for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. The liberty we enjoy to worship together openly is a precious gift, purchased at great cost by those who served our nation with courage. Whether you’re a longtime member or visiting for the first time, we’re truly thankful you’re here today. Our prayer is that you’ll experience God’s presence through His Word and meaningful fellowship with those around you. As we remember those who gave their lives for our country and celebrate the freedom we have in Christ, may God’s truth transform our lives and draw us closer to Him and one another. Memorial Day Picnic

Join us for our Memorial Day Weekend Picnic THIS evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at our pavilion! As of this writing, this is our plan, but with the strong chance of rain in the forecast, we may need to cancel both the picnic and our regular evening service. We’ll make the final decision this afternoon and update everyone through the Realm Connect app, so please check there for the latest information. If we do proceed, bring a picnic supper to share – your favorite picnic specialty or summer treat. The church will provide all paper products and drinks. This relaxed evening will give us time to connect, enjoy good food, and strengthen the bonds of our church family while kicking off the summer season together. There’s even a bounce house for the kids! It’s also a perfect opportunity to invite friends or neighbors to experience our church fellowship. Come hungry for both food and fellowship, and don’t forget your lawn chairs and outdoor games!

VBS Countdown: Just 7 Days Away!

“Agents of ASK” VBS launches June 1 – that’s just ONE WEEK away! Thank you to everyone who joined our volunteer team, but we still could use a few more hands – please stop by the Info Hub or contact Emma DaShiell today. Help us spread the word by joining our VBS Door Hanger Blitz! Teams will be going out Thursday and Saturday mornings (10:00 AM) this week to reach our community, or you can take door hangers for your own neighborhood. No experience needed—just a willing heart and comfortable shoes! This week, please pray specifically for our team, final preparations, and the families God is preparing to attend. VBS is our greatest opportunity to share Christ with children who need Him!

VBS Dinners Available

Make VBS week easier for your family! We’re offering simple family dinners Monday through Wednesday from 5:30-6:15 PM for just $3 per person. These convenient meals will help take the pressure off busy parents and ensure everyone is fed before VBS begins at 6:30 each evening. It’s a great way to arrive relaxed and ready for an amazing week of learning about God’s love. Sign up at the Info Hub or let us know how many to expect from your family. We want to remove every barrier possible so families can fully enjoy this special week together!

Parenting Class Starting Wednesday, June 11

Starting this summer, we’re excited to offer “The Art of Parenting” class on Wednesday nights! This eight-week, video-based study will help parents make faith the core of their parenting through intentional, biblical teaching and Christ-centered plans. You’ll gain fresh insights on raising children at different ages, learn to form character and apply discipline with grace, and develop a unique parenting plan that celebrates each child’s personality and gifting. Whether you’re parenting toddlers or teenagers, this class will equip you with practical tools for nurturing your children’s faith journey.

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin. The Connect App also allows you to be faithful with your giving. Realm Connect allows us to do many things more efficiently and effectively, like managing events, group attendance and communications and so much more!
