Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! What a blessing it is to gather together as God’s people. We’re genuinely thankful you’re here with us—whether you’ve been walking with our church family for years or this is your very first time joining us for worship. Each Sunday brings new opportunities to grow closer to the Lord and to strengthen the bonds we share as believers. We’re excited to see what God has in store for us today as we open His Word, lift our voices in praise, and encourage one another in our faith journey. Our hope is that you’ll leave here today feeling refreshed, encouraged, and reminded of just how much God loves you. Thank you for choosing to spend this Lord’s Day morning with us! Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Tonight: Third Sunday Night @ the Pavillion!

Join us tonight for our third Summer Sunday Night @ The Pavilion! There’s something incredibly special about gathering under God’s open sky to worship Him together. As the evening breeze carries our songs of praise and we’re surrounded by His beautiful creation, we’ll be reminded of how good our God truly is. Tonight is our homemade pie and fruit cobbler night—we’re excited to taste all the delicious treats our amazing bakers have prepared to share! Next Sunday will be our final Summer Sunday Night as we wrap up this sweet series with ice cream sundaes. These evenings offer a perfect opportunity to slow down, connect with each other, and focus on what matters most. Bring your lawn chairs or camp chairs, invite a friend who might enjoy this relaxed setting, and come experience the joy of worshiping together beneath God’s beautiful summer sky!

Back to School Town Hall – Sunday Night, August 24

Join us Sunday night, August 24, for a special “Back To School Town Hall” featuring Jeff Stanford from First Priority. Jeff works with churches and their teenagers across our area to hold weekly school meetings designed to evangelize their classmates and bring the Gospel to school campuses. He’ll be sharing important insights about the current state of our Springfield schools and addressing the unique challenges and opportunities facing Generation Alpha. As parents, grandparents, and church family members, we need to understand what’s happening in our schools and how we can better equip and support our young people. This will be an eye-opening and encouraging evening you won’t want to miss!

Truth Trackers Begins August 27

Get ready for an exciting Wednesday evening adventure as Truth Trackers kicks off August 27! This dynamic children’s program helps kids “lock in truth and live out faith” by combining Bible study, Scripture memory, and daily devotions in ways that are both fun and meaningful. We’ve organized three age-specific groups—Tiny Trackers for preschoolers, Scripture Spies for grades 1-3, and Faith Force for grades 4-6—each learning core Christian truths through interactive lessons, memory challenges, and special themed activities. With awards and incentives along the way, kids stay motivated while building genuine friendships with their peers. Truth Trackers goes beyond simply memorizing verses—we’re helping children truly understand their faith and learn how to live it out every day. Don’t wait—register your kids now for this Wednesday evening journey!
