Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! There’s something truly special about coming together as believers to worship our great God. Whether you’ve been part of our church family for decades or you’re stepping through our doors for the first time, we want you to know you belong here. God has amazing plans for each of us, and we believe He’s brought you here today for a purpose. As we lift our voices in praise, dive into His Word, and enjoy fellowship together, our prayer is that you’ll experience His love in a fresh way. We’re honored to worship alongside you and can’t wait to see what God does in our hearts today! Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Back to School & Prayer For Our Teachers

This Sunday marks the first week our children and teenagers are back in school, beginning another year of academic learning. But as we lift our students and school teachers in prayer, we’re also reminded of the vital importance of spiritual education for both our children and adults. While our local educators carry the tremendous responsibility of shaping young minds academically, our Sunday School teachers have the even greater privilege of nurturing hearts and souls through God’s Word. Next Sunday, we’ll honor both our school teachers and our faithful Sunday School teachers at the close of our morning worship service, celebrating all who invest in education that transforms both minds and hearts!

Back to School Town Hall – Sunday Night!

Join us Sunday night for our special “Back To School Town Hall” featuring Jeff Stanford from First Priority! Jeff equips teenagers across our area to hold weekly Gospel-centered meetings right on their school campuses, reaching their classmates for Christ. He’ll be sharing eye-opening insights about what’s really happening in our Springfield schools and discussing the unique challenges and opportunities we face with Generation Alpha (those born between 2010 and 2024). As parents, grandparents, and church family members, this is crucial information we need to better understand and support our young people. Don’t miss this encouraging and informative evening that could change how you pray for and engage with the next generation!

Schedule Change Next Week

Due to Labor Day weekend, we will not have evening service next Sunday or Outreach on Monday. We will pick up our schedule on Tuesday with Prime Timers at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday School Realignment – Find Your Perfect Fit!

September is Sunday School Realignment month at CSBC. Life has a way of changing us, and sometimes the class that was perfect for us a few years ago might not be the best fit for where we are today. This month is the time for you check out a different class if you like. It doesn’t mean abandoning your class or your friends. All of our classes should be eager to welcome new faces and share in Bible study together. Don’t let familiarity keep you from discovering where God wants you to grow next. You may find a new class that challenges you in your walk with Christ or gives you a different opportunity to serve. Or you might find that you are right where you are supposed to be. Either way, we want everyone continue growing in their faith journey through the study of God’s Word.

Truth Trackers Launches This Wednesday!

This Wednesday evening marks the official start of our Truth Trackers children’s program! We’re excited to welcome kids from preschool through 5th grade for an adventure in “locking in truth and living out faith.” This isn’t just another children’s program; it’s a discipleship journey that helps kids understand core Christian truths and discover how to apply them in their daily lives. With exciting themes, awards, and plenty of opportunities to build friendships, Wednesday evenings are about to become the highlight of your child’s week. Registration is still open—don’t let your kids miss out on this life-changing experience!
