Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church on this Labor Day weekend! As summer draws to a close and we transition into fall, we’re reminded of God’s faithfulness through every season of life. As you connect with God’s people today, we believe the Lord has brought you here for His purposes. For longtime members reconnecting after summer activities and first-time guests joining us, may you find genuine fellowship and encounter God’s presence in a fresh way. We’re thankful you’ve chosen to worship with us as we celebrate His goodness together. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Honoring Teachers

As our children and teenagers settle into their new school year, we continue lifting our students and educators in prayer. We’re grateful for the dedicated school teachers who shape young minds academically, and we’re especially thankful for the faithful Sunday School teachers who are involved in the eternal work of nurturing hearts and souls through God’s Word. This morning, we’ll honor both our school teachers and our Sunday School teachers at the close of our worship service, celebrating all who invest in education that transforms both minds and hearts! Please join us in praying for wisdom, strength, and God’s blessing upon all who teach in our community and church.

Labor Day Weekend Schedule Changes

Please note our modified schedule for this holiday weekend. There will be no Family Service this evening as we encourage our church family to enjoy time together on this Labor Day weekend. Additionally, there will be no Outreach tomorrow, Monday, September 1. Our church offices will be closed on Monday, and we’ll return to regular office hours on Tuesday morning. We look forward to resuming our full schedule next Sunday, including our evening Family Service. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday weekend with family and friends.

Truth Trackers Off to a Great Start!

Truth Trackers launched this past Wednesday evening with an enthusiastic group of kids from preschool through 5th grade! Our children’s discipleship program is designed to help kids “lock in truth and live out faith” through exciting themes, meaningful lessons, and plenty of friendship-building opportunities. It’s definitely not too late for your children to join this adventure in discovering core Christian truths and learning how to apply them in daily life. Wednesday evenings are quickly becoming the highlight of many kids’ weeks! Registration is still open, so don’t let your children miss out on this life-changing experience that’s just getting started.

Sunday School Realignment – Find Your Perfect Fit!

September is Sunday School Realignment month at CSBC, beginning next Sunday! Life has a way of changing us, and sometimes the class that was perfect for us a few years ago might not be the best fit today. This month, feel free to visit a different class if you’d like. You’re not abandoning your current class or friends—all our classes should eagerly welcome new faces for Bible study together. Don’t let familiarity keep you from discovering where God wants you to grow next. You may find a new class that challenges your walk with Christ, or you might confirm you’re right where you belong. Either way, we want everyone growing in their faith through God’s Word.

Annual Missions Emphasis – “Until They Know”

Mark your calendars for September 14th through October 5th as we celebrate our Annual Missions Emphasis with the theme “Until They Know.” This special three-week focus reminds us of Christ’s command to take the Gospel to all nations and our responsibility to share His love with those who haven’t heard. We’ll be blessed to hear from dedicated missionaries and inspiring guest speakers who will challenge us with stories of God’s work around the world. Join us as we explore what it means to live with missions-minded hearts and discover how each of us can be part of reaching others until they know the hope found in Jesus Christ.
