Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! We’re grateful God has gathered us together this Lord’s Day to worship and grow in His grace. Whether you’ve been part of our church family for decades or are visiting us today for the first time, know that you are valued and loved. “Until They Know” Missions Emphasis Continues!

This is the third Sunday of our missions’ emphasis, which culminates next Sunday, October 5. Our theme, “Until They Know” reminds us that Christ’s Great Commission isn’t finished until every person has heard the Gospel. Today we’re blessed to have Jon Konnerup, BBFI Mission Director and member of CSBC, as our guest speaker. We also celebrate God’s faithfulness with the Solomon family—Jon, his sweet wife, Olivia, and their boys, Isaiah & Benaiah—who were just approved as career missionaries to Chile! What a joy to see God calling workers from our church family to the harvest fields.

International Dinner Tonight – 5:30 PM in the Gillming Center!

Join us for a delicious journey around the world without leaving Springfield! Tonight’s International Dinner celebrates the diverse flavors and cultures represented in our church family and the nations we’re reaching with the Gospel. Bring your favorite dish to share—whether it’s a treasured family recipe, an international specialty, or your go-to crowd-pleaser. We’ll put it all together for a wonderful evening of food and fellowship that reflects God’s heart for all nations. This is a unique opportunity to experience the fellowship of our church family as part of our “Until They Know” emphasis. Come hungry and ready to enjoy great food and even better company as we break bread together!

Trunk Or Treat – Friday, October 31

Mark your calendars for our Trunk or Treat community outreach! This Friday evening event gives us a wonderful opportunity to welcome families from all over our area. We need everyone’s help to make it special. First, sign up to decorate your vehicle—we’re already halfway to our goal! Second, bring bags of candy starting next Sunday. Third, begin to pray and start inviting families you know. Let’s create a safe, fun environment where kids can enjoy the evening and parents can experience genuine Christian love. This could be the first step for many families finding a church home!

Baptist Church Ministry Network Conference

How often do some of the finest Bible teachers in America come to us? Next week, October 6-8, our church opens its doors to host the national Baptist Church Ministry Network Conference! Pastors and church leaders from across the country will gather under the theme “Looking Up, Reaching Out: Ministry in the Light of His Coming.” This is more than just hosting an event—it’s our opportunity to bless those who pour out their lives in ministry week after week. We’re asking our church family to step up in two important ways: first, volunteer to help serve these faithful servants (sign up at the Info Hub), and second, take advantage of this rare blessing to hear exceptional preaching right here at home. Clear your calendar, invite a friend, and let’s show what genuine Christian hospitality looks like. The speaker schedule is available at mycsbc.com or at the Info Hub in the Lobby.

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin.
