Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! We’re grateful God has brought you here today for this special Veterans Honor Sunday. Whether you’re a regular part of our church family, joining us for the first time, or visiting as an honored veteran or military family member, we believe your presence is no accident—the Lord has a purpose for you being here. Today we gather to worship the Lord and honor those who have served our nation with courage and sacrifice. Our prayer is that today’s worship will draw you closer to Christ and that you’ll sense His love through the fellowship of believers around you. Thank you for worshiping with us! Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

-Pastor Dennis Jennings

Thank You Veterans!

Today we celebrate Veterans Honor Sunday, recognizing and thanking the men and women who’ve served our nation with courage and sacrifice. Our Discipled Veteran ministry meets every Wednesday evening, and we’re honored to recognize every veteran during this morning’s worship service. We’re grateful for the veterans and military families worshiping with us today and for their dedication to our country and freedom.

The Harvest is Growing

We’re in week two of our four-week Harvest Time emphasis, and the harvest is growing! Jesus said, “the fields…are white already to harvest” (John 4:35) – and we’re seeing God at work as our Prayer Tree fills with invitation apples representing those who’ve said “yes” to your invitations! Through November 23, we’re asking everyone to continue making three simple commitments: Be Faithful (attend Sunday School all four Sundays), Reach Out (adopt someone who’s been drifting in prayer and reconnect with them), and Invite (bring someone to worship and especially to Harvest Day on Nov 23). Keep watching our Prayer Tree transform as leaves appear for those participating in all three commitments, and more apples are added! The momentum is building, Cherry Street – let’s keep gathering the harvest together!

Griefshare: Surviving the Holidays

The holidays can be especially difficult when you’re grieving. Join us for our GriefShare “Surviving the Holidays” on Saturday, November 15, from 10am-12pm. This helpful seminar provides practical suggestions for navigating the holiday season while grieving. You’ll discover how to cope with difficult emotions, prepare for the weeks ahead, and find hope for your future. Whether your loss was recent or years ago, you don’t have to face the holidays alone. For more information, contact the church office.

Harvest Day – Sunday, November 23

Excitement is building for Harvest Day on November 23—traditionally our highest attendance Sunday of the year! We’ll enjoy special music from Tim and Hosanna Noble, followed by our annual Thanksgiving Dinner together. The church will provide the turkeys, and we’re asking each family to bring side dishes and desserts—enough for your family plus one other family. This special day provides a wonderful opportunity to invite friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to experience the joy of our church family. Harvest Day invitation cards are available at the Info Hub. Let’s make this year’s celebration our best yet!

Next Step Bible Studies Continue This Wednesday!

Our three new Wednesday Bible Studies are off to a great start! If you missed the first two weeks, jump in this Wednesday—it’s not too late! “First Steps: Foundations of the Christian Life” meets in the Chapel for solid spiritual grounding. Men, join “Nehemiah: Standing Firm in the Face of Opposition” in the Four Corners Room for a powerful study on courage and perseverance. Ladies, “James: Growing Up in Christ” gathers in the Choir Room for practical wisdom on spiritual maturity. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow deeper in God’s Word alongside other believers!
