Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church on this Sunday after Christmas! Whether you’re here every week or joining us for the first time during this special season, we’re so glad you’ve come to worship with us. This week between Christmas and the New Year is such a unique time in the calendar—a precious pause to rest, reflect, and let the wonder of God’s greatest gift to the world truly sink into our hearts. The rush of Christmas preparations is behind us, but the celebration of Christ’s birth continues! The story of a baby born in Bethlehem, announced by angels, and worshiped by shepherds and wise men never grows old. As we gather for Bible study, music, and fellowship today, may you find refreshment in God’s presence. May you be encouraged by the reminder that Immanuel—God with us—walked into our world and changed everything. And as we look ahead to a new year filled with both opportunities and challenges, may you carry with you the hope and joy that came down to earth in a manger. Thank you for being part of our church family during this blessed season! Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Read The Bible With Us In 2026!

If you started the Bible reading plan for 2025 on January 1 and followed it through, then you completed reading your entire Bible this past week. It has been wonderful to see so many in our church family join together to encourage one another to read the Bible through – from young people to senior adults! We want to encourage everyone to join us this year as we read God’s Word together in 2026. It is a great way to have your daily quiet time with the Lord! Our Reading Plan provides 25 daily readings each month, giving a few days to make up any that you might miss. It provides variety with passages from the Old and New Testaments each day. A printed copy of “The Navigators Bible Reading Plan” is available in your Sunday School class or in the lobby. It is also available in the YouVersion app on your mobile device or online at Bible.com. There is a link to the reading plan on mycsbc.com as well.

Don’t Forget To Check Your Christmas Card Mailbox

If you shared Christmas cards with our church family through the Christmas Card Mailbox in the North Lobby, be sure to stop by and check your folder to collect any cards that were delivered to you. It’s such a joy to see our church family connecting and sharing encouragement during this special season! The mailbox will remain open for pickup through Sunday, January 5, so you have one more week to collect your cards. After that date, any remaining cards will be distributed or returned to senders.

Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering – 2026 Projects

As of today, we have received $57,630—that’s 95% of our $60,500 goal! We are so grateful for how our church family has responded to honor Christ through this offering. This offering funds essential 2026 projects including replacing a lobby HVAC unit, restoring and sealing our sanctuary exterior, resealing our parking lot, and adding new playground equipment. If you were planning to give, please don’t let our progress stop you! Any funds beyond our goal will allow us to complete additional projects that would bless our church for years to come. You can give online at mycsbc.com/giving, through our Connect app, text “mycsbc” to 73256, or use an offering envelope during any service. Thank you for honoring Christ together!
