Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church as we begin 2026 together! What a blessing to gather as a church family to worship the God who has faithfully brought us through 2025 and now opens the door to fresh opportunities and adventures ahead. Whether you’ve been part of Cherry Street for decades or you’re joining us for the first time today, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Our prayer is that God will deepen our relationship with Him, strengthen our faith through whatever comes our way, and use each of us to impact lives for His kingdom and glory. May today’s service encourage your heart and set the tone for a year committed to seeking and following Jesus. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Beginning the Year with Grateful Hearts

January provides a natural opportunity for reflection and fresh commitment. This month, we’ll be focusing on what it means to live with hearts fully devoted to God—recognizing His abundant goodness in our lives and responding with faithfulness in every area. When we truly grasp how much God has blessed us, it transforms how we view everything He’s entrusted to our care: our time, our abilities, our resources, and even our responsibility to share the Gospel with others. This isn’t about obligation or guilt—it’s about the joy and freedom that come from aligning our lives with God’s purposes. This month, we’ll explore what it looks like to honor God with all that we are and all that we have. Our prayer is that this month will draw us closer to the Lord and deepen our commitment to living fully for Him.

A New Daily Opportunity With God!

If you started the Bible reading plan on January 1, you’re already a few days into reading through your entire Bible in 2026—keep going! It has been wonderful to see so many in our church family join together to encourage one another to read God’s Word, from young people to senior adults! If you haven’t started yet, it’s not too late to jump in! Our Reading Plan provides 25 daily readings each month, giving a few days to make up any that you might miss, so you can easily catch up and join us. You’re only a few days behind, and the plan is designed to be flexible. It provides variety with passages from the Old and New Testaments each day. A printed copy of “The Navigators Bible Reading Plan” is available in your Sunday School class or in the lobby. It is also available in the YouVersion app on your mobile device or online at Bible.com. There is a link to the reading plan on mycsbc.com as well.

Birthday Gift for Jesus Offering – 2026 Projects

As of today, we have received $64,115—over our $60,500 goal! We are so grateful for how our church family has responded to honor Christ through this offering, which funds essential 2026 projects including replacing a lobby HVAC unit, restoring and sealing our sanctuary exterior, resealing our parking lot, and adding new playground equipment. If you were planning to give, please don’t let our progress stop you! Any funds beyond our goal will allow us to complete additional projects that would bless our church for years to come. Thank you for honoring Christ together!

Back to Our Regular Schedule

We’re back to our regular ministry schedule this week! After a blessed Christmas and New Year season with family, we’re excited to reconnect as a church family. Church office hours have resumed their normal schedule, and our Wednesday evening ministries return this week on January 7. Join us Wednesday night for Bible Studies for the Men’s Bible Study on Nehemiah, the Ladies Study in James, the First Steps Study in the Chapel, Youth Ministry for our teens, and Truth Trackers for Kids. It’s a wonderful way to kick off 2026 by diving into God’s Word and strengthening our connections with one another mid-week. We can’t wait to see you there!

Don’t Forget To Check Your Christmas Card Mailbox

Today is your last day to pick up Christmas cards! If you shared Christmas cards with our church family through the Christmas Card Mailbox in the North Lobby, be sure to stop by today and check your folder to collect any cards that were delivered to you. After today, any remaining cards will be distributed so make sure to grab yours before you leave!
