Welcome to CSBC!

We’re sorry to miss seeing you this Sunday! Due to the severe winter storm bringing dangerous ice, snow, and freezing temperatures to our area, we’ve canceled all Sunday services and activities this weekend. We know how important it is to gather together as a church family, but we have to be able to do so safely. While we can’t be in the building, take this time to worship at home—open your Bible, pray for one another, and rest in God’s presence. On Sunday morning, we will share a Bible Study lesson on our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@CherryStreetBaptistSpringfield). We’ll be back together soon, and in the meantime, this digital bulletin will help keep you informed about what’s happening in our church family. Office Closures, Cancellations and Schedule Updates

As of this writing, the services for this Sunday, January 25, are canceled, along with our regular Monday Outreach. The office will be closed on Monday, but there will be someone available to answer calls during business hours. The frigid temps will make it impossible for us to have Pickleball for Tuesday and Thursday this week as well. Keep watching your email, the website, our Connect app (see the info below), and our church Facebook feed for updates to our schedule this week.

Prime Timers Luncheon Cancelled

Due to the incoming winter storm and dangerously cold temperatures headed our way, we’ve made the decision to cancel the Prime Timers luncheon on Tuesday. Your safety is our top priority, and we don’t want anyone navigating icy roads or braving the bitter cold. The next Prime Timers will be Tuesday, February 10, so mark your calendars! Same great food, same great fellowship—just a safer date. Stay warm, stay safe, and we’ll see you on the 10th!

Football Sunday Is Coming – February 8!

Super Bowl weekend is almost here, and we’re making February 8 a Sunday to remember! Join us for Football Sunday, when we’ll transform our morning worship service into a powerful outreach event followed by a tailgate party. Come dressed in your favorite team’s jersey and experience inspiring video testimonies from NFL players who will share how Christ has transformed their lives. This is the perfect opportunity to reach someone who might not typically walk through our church doors—think about that friend who loves football, that neighbor you’ve been praying for, or that coworker who needs to hear the Gospel. Between the fun atmosphere and the eternal message, Football Sunday is designed to be both inviting and impactful. Who is God laying on your heart to invite?

Annual Business Meeting & Officer Nominations

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 4—our annual business meeting is an important evening for our church family. We’ll celebrate what God has done through Cherry Street this past year, vote on the 2025 budget, and elect officers who will help lead us forward. If you know someone who would serve well in a leadership role, pick up a nomination form at the Info Hub. Your voice matters as we look ahead together!

The Info Hub

The Info Hub online provides our church family a centralized place to find information about any event, activity or ministry here at CSBC. To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Realm Connect – Our Church App

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin. The Connect App also allows you to be faithful with your giving. Realm Connect allows us to do many things more efficiently and effectively, like managing events, group attendance and communications and so much more!
