Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! It’s wonderful to be back home with our church family after two Sundays away. These past weeks I had the privilege of worshiping with fellow believers in the United Kingdom — including a special Sunday with the Orricks and Adams in Wales. Seeing God’s work across the ocean is a powerful reminder that the Gospel is truly alive around the world. Whether you are joining us for the first time today or have been part of this family for years, we are glad you are here. God is at work — and we are grateful to seek Him together this morning. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

Spring Training Kicks Off Today!

We have been talking about our Spring Training emphasis for the last few weeks. On this, our first Sunday, we have stepped up to the plate and recorded our first “hits” – our first commitments from friends and family for Easter Sunday. Next week, we are asking everyone to add their second, then the following week your third, all the way to Easter, where we will all have a Home Run on Easter Sunday— four people coming through our doors to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Pick up some additional Easter invitations today to use this week. Consider how the Lord could use your consistent, faithful efforts to change someone’s destiny — from the sorrows of a Christless eternity to the everlasting joys of Heaven.

Preparing Your Heart for Easter

Easter Sunday is three weeks away, and the preparation that matters most begins in your heart. April 5th is the most important Sunday of the year for every true believer — because there is no greater celebration than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him, and His triumph changes everything for those who trust in Him. We are planning a celebration worthy of that reality — powerful music, inspired teaching, and a proclamation of the risen Christ. Begin praying now, begin inviting now, and come with great expectation. The best is yet to come!

Easter Outreach – Reaching Our Community

Easter is one of the greatest Gospel opportunities of the year, and we want every member of our church family involved. Over the next few weeks we have three specific ways to carry the message of the risen Christ into our community. Pray about each one and look for the place where God can use you most!

Door to Door – Monday Evening, March 23

On Monday evening, March 23, we will be placing Easter invitations on doors throughout our community — a simple but meaningful way to plant seeds before Easter Sunday. There is no better way to open a door than to literally walk up to one with an invitation to encounter the hope of the resurrection. Come join us!

Easter Outreach Dinner

The following Monday evening, March 30, join us for our Easter Outreach Dinner at 6:00 PM — a wonderful evening of fellowship and final preparation as Easter Sunday approaches. Sign up on Realm Connect here or at the Info Hub in the lobby.

Easter Egg Hunt

Our community Easter Egg Hunt is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships with neighborhood families and connect them with the life-changing message of Easter. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Pastor Jason Lange. Let’s make it a great day!
