Welcome to CSBC!

What a joy it is to gather together as we move through this final week before Easter! I am grateful for each one of you — for your faithfulness, your prayers, and the way you are carrying the hope of the resurrection into your homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Whether you are with us for the first time today or have been part of this family for years, you are welcome here. God is moving at Cherry Street, and the best is still ahead. As we should each Sunday, let’s approach this Lord’s Day ready to worship, ready to be challenged, and expect the Holy Spirit to do something meaningful in our hearts. With the Lord’s help, let’s respond to what He does in humble acknowledgment and simple obedience and service to Him. Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. Resurrection Celebration!

Easter is next Sunday, and we don’t want anyone to miss the significance of this most monumental moment in history. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not merely the highlight of the church calendar, t is the very foundation of our faith. “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.” (Matthew 28:6) As we move through these final days before Easter, we encourage you to be intentional in prayer, in worship, and in anticipation. Our choir is prepared, our teachers are ready, and the Word will be proclaimed. Come believing that God will move mightily!

Lord’s Supper Tonight

Tonight we will be remembering the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ with the sacred observance of is often called “Communion” or “The Lord’s Supper.” Along with believers’ baptism, this is the second of two local church ordinances – something decreed or ordered by Christ Himself -memorials picturing spiritual truths already received through faith. This is an important command to every believer that we are to take part in this ordinance until He returns.

Preparing For Easter Sunday

Between now and Easter Sunday, we have two opportunities to take the gospel beyond these walls — and we need you in the game. Every person in this room has something to offer, whether that looks like walking a neighborhood with door hangers or sharing a meal with someone who needs to know they are loved. There is a place for everyone to be the hands and feet of Christ this week. Don’t sit on the sidelines — this is your moment to make an eternal difference!

Easter Door Hangers, Outreach & Dinner

Door hangers are available at the table in the lobby today — grab a map and spend 30 to 40 minutes covering a few blocks in our community. It is one of the simplest and most effective things you can do to put the Easter invitation directly into the hands of your neighbors. You may never know this side of Heaven what God does with that small act of faithfulness. Pick up your map and door hangers today and make it happen this week! Also. Tomorrow evening at the pavilion on Monday evening at 6:00, join for our Easter Outreach Dinner — and yes, we are making smashburgers! Come for the food and fellowship, and then help us finish the door hanger outreach! Sign up on Realm Connect or at the Info Hub in the lobby so we have enough for everyone!

Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday, April 4 at 1:00 PM

Join us at 1pm this Saturday for an afternoon of fun, games, and celebration! We’re hunting eggs and honoring the greatest reason to celebrate — the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Come ready to play, laugh, and rejoice together as we celebrate the hope and new life we have because He is risen. Invite some friends!

To help you stay better informed, the Info Hub can function as an app on your smartphone’s home screen. To find instructions for both iPhones and Android phones, go to the Info Hub at mycsbc.com/info and choose “Our Apps.” Help is available at the Info Hub in the lobby.

For Android phones, follow these steps:

1) Open Chrome; 2) Navigate to mycsbc.com/info; 3) Tap the menu icon (the 3 dots in upper right-hand corner); 4) Tap “Add to Home screen”; 5) Change the name to “CSBC Info Hub” and choose “add” and it will appear on your home.

For iPhones, follow these steps:

1) Open Safari; 2) enter mycsbc.com/info and tap “Go”; 3) Tap the “Share” button on the bottom of the page (square box with up arrow); 4) scroll down until you see “Add to Home Screen” and tap on it; 5) The Add to Home Screen dialog box will appear; edit it to say “CSBC Info Hub”; 6) Confirm it, and click Add. Safari will close automatically, and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.

Through the mail – our offering envelopes are postage paid – meaning you can drop your offering in the mail without a stamp. If you would like us to send you envelopes to use during this season, just call the church office and we will be happy to put them in the mail to you asap.

Our Realm Connect App allows us to send out announcements electronically as needed, rather than waiting for Sunday to publish them in the bulletin.
