Welcome to CSBC!

Welcome to Cherry Street Baptist Church! What a joy it is to gather together as the family of God on this summer Sunday. We are so glad you are here — whether you have been walking with us for years or this is your very first visit. We believe God has a purpose in bringing you through these doors today, and our prayer is that you will leave having encountered Him in a real and personal way. May the worship, the Word, and the fellowship you experience today encourage your heart and strengthen your faith. We love you and we are glad you came! Please let us know you are here by filling out our digital guest card. We pray that God will bless you this weekend!

250 Years of Grace

Saturday marked a milestone 250 years in the making — the day a group of ordinary men risked everything to declare that liberty was worth fighting for. Today we give thanks to God for the freedom we so often take for granted, freedom bought with the blood and sacrifice of those who came before us. Yet even as we celebrate our nation’s heritage, we remember that true and lasting freedom was not won on a battlefield, but at the cross. It is in Christ alone that we are set free from sin and death forever. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17) So celebrate with a full heart today — and give thanks to the God who is the source of every freedom we hold dear! Today we celebrate America’s 250th with a special service honoring our nation’s heritage and giving glory to the God who blessed it.
